It’s very in character for piggy that he wanted his team to stay the course and lose rather than admit the slightest weakness in their transparently, laughably feeble candidate. Since the second debate the polls have showed Biden getting mauled in November esp in certain swing states. In classic fashion Fat has just been plugging his ears, closing his eyes and pretending Biden’s disintegration wasn’t happening, and it seems like he expected the rest of the party to join him in NO CHILDing the situation until November. It’s unprecedented and a pretty bad sign for the Dems to have an incumbent president drop out this late, but overall I think it was the right move. They had to do something to avoid the L everyone who isn’t Fatrick saw coming and to create at least the appearance of momentum. I really can’t blame them for throwing a Hail Mary like this, and clearly most of the Dem insiders and big donors think it’s a smart move. Fat just autistically decided he didn’t want it and therefore it’s Dem suicide and the End of Humanity, stalker. He can’t even articulate why he opposes this, he just decided the pressure campaign to switch was nothing but defeatism or even “wanting Trump to win” and now he’s locked in. Truly pathetic.

Meanwhile ActBlue broke an all-time record for donations after Biden dropped out so Pat was wrong again. People were so happy they had a slight chance instead of no chance they started giving money again.

I think he needs to give Kamala a big donation to make up for all of that doomposting yesterday.

Hot take but I dont think fatrick is gay, if he came out he would get a lot of positive feedback from leftists on twitter. Fatrick even went so far as to pretend to be conservative who supports trump to get love. I think fatrick is just a straight man with an extremely high level of estrogen in his body.

It's not even the donations - it's that if they actual ride-or-died with Biden now it would show that the entire party is decrepit and insane. At least now they have a feeble excuse they can play and keep the party together. This was an existential crisis for the Dems and the FatsPlan™ would have obliterated them like the Whigs.

What I'm absolutely ass-blastedly surprised by is that they did NOT take the obvious path to keep idiots like pat onboard; which would be for Biden to suddenly develop covid-related issues and "have to step down" for medical reasons.

I suspect it's because NOBODY not even the Dems want Kamala as actual president and it would be hard to say "I have medical issues and won't seek reelection but 24th is not in play, I'm going to hold the nuclear football until I give it to Trump."

Two possible scenarios on this. These “marginalized people” either are born into wealth like LFG, or are useless NEETs/diversity hires that are being purged and can not afford to move. In either case, nobody else wants them because they are disgusting freaks.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to downplay the notion of nuclear war, just that it was spoken about a lot more and was in the forefront of the public's consciousness back during Reagan's tenure, with little reminders popping up here and there. It was reflected in entertainment media, as well as in the media news cycles.

Yeah, if I was saying that nuclear war was a solved issue, that wasn't my intention. It was more just talking about how it was in the public eye and was talked about/discussed a lot more, thanks to actual things happening rather than hypotheticals (eg, 'Bush is gonna start WW3', 'Trump is going to end humanity.')
