I'm going to powerlevel here for the greater good. My parents were somewhat liberal with my upbringing but a line was always drawn somewhere. I had lots of traditionally boy and girl toys for the matter. Plushies, dolls, legos, BB guns, you name it. Most of my friends growing up were girls until university where it became 50/50.

I remember when I curiously wanted to try a relative's high heels on. My parents told me it's wrong even if I were a girl at my age (I was 6 or 7). They didn't beat me up like when I mixed household chemicals like a little shit but it was pretty harsh. Enough for me to remember it.
