The only recent show I can think of that seriously went after the Dems was Boston legal in 2008 and they got shit canned for it. I will never forget how the shatman playing a dementia like dude with mad cow disease compared himself to Biden. Now that's some next level shit.

To be fair, it was hardly just because they went after Dems. In fact Alan Shore was a bleeding heart liberal in most cases. After about S2 they started hard on moving from comedic plot A + drama plot B to replacing Paul with Carl and making him a hardass conservative with no funny bone and giving him tons of drama and missing the comedy. Like when the tranny nigger did stupid shit and almost lost his job yet somehow Carl was the bad guy for saying it was, in fact, wrong. I wish they played him closer to his role in Night Court, but Denny and Alan already covered that, so I understand why. Also as they very blatantly said in the ending episodes, they were told by broadcasters that they weren’t hip with the kids. Ya know, the advertising group with no money to spend.

The show had serious balls in the final season though, considering the last episode opens up with a rabbi and cath preacher arguing over the holocaust.
