Holy shit, I thought the version with his face on it was a troll edit. What the fuck even is this shit?

Four adult men talking about rainbow themed toys being marketed and sold to other adults.

Fucking Care Bears parodies? Just cut off your dick while you're at it.

This isn't satire, this is just being gay.

good God, $91k for action figures of a book that's years late and the book itself is of a half funny joke from half a decade ago.

you know what, I'm flipping my stance 100%. i hope EVS never fulfills another campaign as long as he lives. in fact i hope he does a crypto pump and dump. These retarded paypig deserve to get scammed and lose all their money to this fat faggot.

Is there anything more to the joke than "it's Rainbow Brite, but a big burly man!"? It feels painfully stretched thin if not.
nah, that's pretty much it. it was just a stupid drawing EVS made meant to parody the feminization of boy brands that was the talk of the internet in the late 2010s when that She-Ra show was announced. i never understood why he thought it had any potential beyond a one off gag, he should've just auctioned off the original drawing and forgot about it, not make it his 2nd big IP.

He stole the idea from some openly gay artist on instagram

Interesting stats. On the 29th, 38 people pledged over 44k. Unless I'm not reading this thing correctly.

As I stated along with a few others, I fully expected this thing to sell about as well as CF, a little less, but still make the goal. Whether or not the adult men who want this shite GET it especially on time, is another thing all together. And how many will rot in storage.

To each their own, but it's such a weird thing to make a doll of. If I were into geek knickknacks, the Cyber Frog toys, I can sort of get behind. But this? Same as before, they're too expensive to let your kid play with so it'll just sit on a shelf collecting dust.

Ah well. It's their money. Perhaps the people backing these things will get them before 2026. Same with the comic. Since I'm sure this means the comic won't get released until the toys are ready to be shipped.

Slight tangent, someone posted an Angela Lansberry(?) (Murder She Wrote) doll on Big Bad Toys. That I could be tempted to get for fun. Rainbow? Meh.

Perhaps the scraper messed up and the top included purchases from other days. Otherwise, that's like a thousand a person? Possible? I guess, but seems unlikely. the following days seem to line up better.

The joke would go right over the head of kids who still play with toys and at that point you're just giving gay shit to your children and you should be ashamed.
These gay dolls might just be the nudge many gay kids need to finally troon out. They're that gay and nobody outside the ever-shrinking CG sphere is going to get the joke.

Rambo Frute would fit right in with Pride month Elvira!

I'm becoming fascinated by how retarded this whole doll situation has become. Here's all the shitty stretch goals:

The most bizarre thing to me is that it shows 694 backers, and yet far fewer people have actually "claimed" any of the toys. What gives? Anyone with more knowledge about these campaigns have any idea what causes this discrepancy?

99 claimed perks, but 694 backers? Why would 595 people back this and not claim any perk for having backed this? What gives? Here's an archive to show I didn't fuck with anything.

It doesn't make sense to me. I figured maybe they backed it, but didn't chip in enough to afford any perks, but even if all 595 donated $24 then that's only $14,280. If you figure the amount that counts towards the perks claimed, it's only $10,705. Combined, that's $24,985.

Where's the other $76k? Are people backing this, but not claiming the toy?

It looks like you can just contribute cash instead of buying any of the items.

He's going to lose his ass on this campaign if he only actually sells a few dozen of these things. Those will cost a fortune to produce.
