You know how people would love to have 4k videos of 9/11? Or wonder what the Internet would have been like during WW2? I hope we get that but for the 1968 DNC. Total chaos. Either they beat the fuck out of protestors which will look bad, or the police stand down and riots ensue. I'm personally hoping Chicago gets burned to the ground.

It'd be funny, but I haven't seen a single name get floated and endorsed other than Harris since the announcement. Multiple state delegations already said they'd switch to her already. I think Newsome endorsed her, Whitmer said she's not running, Clintons endorsed Harris, nobody else has popped up and issued a challenge. Who are they going to try to shoehorn in and drum up name recognition now?
The last possible wildcard on the shortlist is Michelle Obama, still plausible since Barak pointedly didn't endorse Harris. But the Obama wing of the Party shares its supporters with the Biden gang, to which Harris is attached and drawing support. I don't know what big name endorsements or party machine factions would be left for Michelle to pick up now.

Okay before I read what people said, want to give my thoughts on the hearing:
1. The guy who talked about how he did his own tests, and despite not having touched a gun in 6 years, making 15 out of 16 killshots is horrifying.
2. Hard to take Occasional Cortex's words on unity when she called Trump a neo-nazi not a few days ago
3. I loved that lady who said that Cheatle was a bunch of sh*t, she was so angry and it felt good.
4. The people who were using this as gun control are retarded. Including the lady who talked about the kids and shootings, like those were all def handguns.
5. The guy trying to get Cheatle to answer his question about guns making their jobs harder was hilarious because he admitted by accident that the guy trying to commit violence with him and a female staffer used a baseball bat, not a gun.
6. I really appreciated how they didn't let Cheatle get away with non-answers. In the beginning I was worried it was going to happen, but when it didn't, it was sweet.
Edit to add: I was very annoyed that while she explicitly denied that there were other shooters or that government officials helped him, she did not wrt foreign actors. I'll be pissed if they use it as pretext to go to war.

Because Michigan and Minnesota are in play in Nov. They both have large groups of pro Palestine supporters. Meeting with Bibi would be bad for them. They'd rather take the L from Bibi than lose in Nov. Even though they've been speaking out of both sides of their mouths since Oct. 7. So idk.

Would this be justified, if you a civilian, we're in a strangers home, who was boiling water, 12 feet away, and accused her of malicious intent, did nothing to avoid the danger you saw, announced your intent to murder her, and then did so? If this were a hostage situation, or something that was anything more than what seemed like a casual investigation, maybe I would see the reaction being understandable. But to go from laughing to "I'm going to f****** shoot you in the face" in response to "I rebuke you in the name of Jesus Christ" is not clicking for me. Even if it was his training, so was Chauvins, and he got metaphorically crucified on television. You'd have to have a very strong hand to whip a boiling pot of water that far to be considered such a threat. And from what I heard she was still in the process of heating it. I believe I heard him say "simmering" when describing her actions
This also will suggest, especially to a jury, he knew in that moment he was not immediately in danger.
