I don’t get it. Everything seems like a gigantic lie or conspiracy but it’s all so retarded that it makes no sense.

Cheatle - Legit so insanely incompetent that it borders legendary levels. It feels like she was paid for someone to pop Trump, but it’s the most stupid idea in the world. If the assassin succeeded, she would be in a fed holding pen right now rotting away. Failed and she is is disgraced, fired, and under investigation 24/7. But also, it’s unbelievable she can be so negligent without malice.

Lying about Bidens health- What’s the point? If he had a stroke, everyone on fucking earth can tell and it just makes the WH look like a bunch of liars. There is no legit gain at all from lying about Biden and his health. No matter what happens, the public deserves the truth in matters like this and it only is going to snowball into people distrusting the democrat party more and more the longer they attempt to be evasive around it. You can’t hide a corpse or stroke victim forever.

That's not how that works, homie. The Speaker of the House only becomes the President if the VP and President die, he doesn't become the VP if the President dies/becomes incapacitated. She has to nominate someone, then the senate/house confirms that nomination for VP. The Speaker stays in his slot.
That's not what I meant. If something happens to the President and there's no VP then the Speaker is next in line to be President. That's not a big deal considering all the other probs the Dems have.

No she doesn't. There's no law saying the vice presidency must be filled if it becomes vacant because of the VP getting bumped up to the Oval Office for whatever reason. If there's no VP then the Speaker of the House automatically becomes second in line. The 25th amendment leaves wiggle room to not nominate a new VP by saying "shall" instead of "must"

The VP office has to be filled; it's the tiebreaker for the electoral college. It can't be vacant. I'm not shitting on you here, but look at the 25th Amendment:

The Speaker is the Designated Survivor if the President and the VP dies, but he doesn't move up a square if the VP survives. See Section 2.

I think the key thing being argued here is "upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress." That shit takes time, and in the meantime, that seat is vacant. If Copmala takes a bullet, catches Biden's coof, or falls down a weirdly pointy flight of stairs in the meantime I think it's reasonable to read that the speaker would then become president.

I have a suggestion for improving the reliability of the news:
All articles from a news agency must be submitted to the national records, where it can be easily searched and retrieved.
Ideally the national record should be made free to the public, and possibly have a mechanism that allows corporations and individuals to make backup copies that are cryptographic ally signed to ensure authenticity.
Any video or radio broadcast must have their transcript submitted to the national records
The submitted record must be the original published version of the article, if cnn publishes an article, fully rewrites it, then only submits the rewrite to the national records, they get fined with increasing penalties for repeated infractions
Any changes to the articles mush have a notice of edits both on the article and submitted to the records
If an article is deleted a retraction notice must be permanently published on their website and submitted to the records
All articles must include the code for finding the copy in the national records, which will include all notice of edits and retractions for that article

If a media corporation fails or refuses to comply then they cannot claim to be a news corporation, and if they hide the fact that they are not a news corporation then they face heavy fines and could be forced to dissolve.
It doesn't prevent the news from lying, but it prevents them from hiding the fact that they lied or published half-baked articles that they had to rewrite - and marks a clear difference between news companies and media organizations that solely publish opinions.

Just burn it all down and let a new crop of autistic citizen journalists rise from the ashes. Corpo news is unsalvagable.

In a country that just had an assassination attempt that revealed the utter incompetency of the secret service leaving the VP unfilled espcially when that would result in the other party taking the presidency should something happen one way or the other (impeachment) could be seen as very dangerous choice. Take for example if the Republicans make Donald Trump the speaker of the house. Would mainstream democrats really be OK with leaving him as next in line behind their president?
