He always seems off. The weird way he stopped and turned and just vaguely shouted at the reporters is 100% Biden, few other things give me that visceral feeling of "oh no" the way he can. I suppose even clown world has its limits, its been an exhausting week and change for the Honk Mother.

I'm listening to the speech. It sounds like they sweetened the audio of the audience. They added echo or reverb to it. Slightly.

Well glad to see he’s able to walk at least. He seemed able to get up the stairs ok. I’m still of the opinion that he was pretty unwell, and is on his way out.

Don't you realize? They don't say black or indian. They say colored people - excuse me, I mean people of color - and POC and BIPOC. They don't know how to differentiate between ethnicities. There is only 'white' and 'nonwhite'. They will sometimes use 'brown' but they almost always mean arabs when they say that. That's why they get confused with Jews and Asians who are neither.
What is that? It looks like candies and gummies but I get the sinking feeling it is not candies and gummies.
Only in politics can you just invent insane policies, positions, and quotes that a person has never had, said, or espoused, and who has repeatedly denied, condemned, and distanced themselves from, and then just constantly keep running with it as if you're telling the truth. And if you're Democrat, the fact checkers will say you are.
Israel is an ally of the US. Any ally of the US should not be snubbed. That's literally what alliances are for. If the US shows themselves to be worthless or even selective allies then when the time comes that the US is the one calling on their allies, they won't get any help. If you don't like it, push for the US to dissolve the alliance, but as long as it exists, the US should honor it.

At least with President Biden they could point at minor things he's done and call that a success. What did Harris ever do? I can't think of a single thing other than putting people in prison.

Lawyers under the oversight of then-Attorney General of California Kamala Harris argued in 2014 against the release of nonviolent criminals because they wanted to keep them for cheap labor.
“Extending 2-for-1 credits to all minimum custody inmates at this time would severely impact fire camp participation — a dangerous outcome while California is in the middle of a difficult fire season and severe drought,” lawyers from Harris’s office wrote in a filing.
The attorney general arrived at that stance in reaction to a chain of events following a 2011 Supreme Court decision ruling that California’s prison overcrowding was in violation of the Constitution’s cruel and unusual punishment clause.
In 2014, as overcrowding persisted, a three-judge panel in California ordered the state to make eligible for parole nonviolent prisoners with only two felonies that had served half their sentences. Harris’ lawyers argued early release would harm the prison’s labor program, which included its work program to help fight California’s wildfires. The judges rejected the argument.
Criticism against Harris resurfaced after her announcement for president last month brought heightened scrutiny. In 2014, Harris told BuzzFeed News she was “shocked” to learn about what her lawyers were arguing in court.
Harris’s presidential campaign reiterated her claims this week to the Daily Beast: “As she said at the time, Sen. Harris was shocked and troubled by the use of this argument. She looked into it and directed the department’s attorneys not to make that argument again.”

The Quinnipiac poll has Trump up 19 points among 18-35 year olds with a D+6 sample size. Yougov has the race between Trump and Harris "tied" despite Trump leading among independents and getting a bigger voter share from his own party, again a D+6 sample.

Kamala Harris isn't that bad at scripted speeches. Anybody who can read and push past stage fright can give a competent scripted speech.
Where she really falls apart is in extemporaneous speech. That's when the word salad and weird cackling begins. The right's biggest attack dog journalists need to be dogging Kamala every step of the way on the campaign trail. Some conservative journalist is going to make their career for life if they can break Kamala.

The sunglasses make me think they don't want people to be able to see his eyes. It's possible that he had a subconjunctival hemorrhage and it hasn't cleared up yet. A body double is going to be hard to pull off beyond far away shots like this. Getting someone who looks like him, sounds like him, and can pull off acting like him for anything more than a passing interaction is not something that can be done in under a week.
One reason he may seem a bit more lively or animated is that he's managed to get several days of rest, regardless of whether that was spend recovering from a stroke, COVID, or whatever the actual reason may have been. If he's delegating responsibilities though it probably means that he doesn't have a lot left and they might be juicing him just to get through the next few days or until he's fully cooked.
I wonder how many times they've had to rerun the poll just to get an even result that they can publish?
