I’m pretty sure that you have to be personally served a summons for an initial appearance in a case.
When I got one years ago for a traffic misdemeanor it came US mail.

When I got served in a civil matter there was a process server. Kinda odd the civil case service was stricter than the criminal case.

Pretty strange that April's court documents are being sent to Nick's corporate PO box. I don't think it breaks any laws or rules, but it seems quite shady. Would she be able to receive notifications of deliveries to that PO box and retrieve them herself, or is she now entirely dependent upon Nick for that?

I'm guessing she spends so little time in the neighbouring house (where she supposedly lives) that she wouldn't notice if important mail had been delivered there.
That's the mailing address they provide for their mail, not just his corporate address. And if that's the last address LEO has for her, that is where they'd send it. Iirc, Aaron mentioned that April had provided that address for where an insurance company should sent her money on a claim. So likely is the address they have on file for her.

A bench warrant gets them into the house and then common areas and plain sight are fair game. You see, they get to do a terry search of the common areas of the house and the areas that the subject was in for their safety.
This isn't some kind of sneaky plan. If the summons was delivered and the appearance date is in a few weeks, there's plenty of opportunity to clean stuff up before missing a court date. I'm not saying that April &c. won't be so stupid as to miss the hearing and then have a warrant, just that this isn't a crafty, surprise way of getting into a house.

Maybe it’s different in Minnesota but where I live it has to be personally served for your first appearance. If you’re present in court when the date is set they don’t need to serve you.
MN Rules of Crim. Proc. 3.03 Subd. 3 provides that service of a summons can be made in several ways, including mailing to last own address or electronically.

The summons must be served on an individual defendant by delivering a copy to the defendant personally, or by leaving it at the defendant's usual place of abode with a person of suitable age and discretion residing there, or by mailing it to the defendant's last known address, or by serving it electronically as authorized by Rule 14of the General Rules of Practice for the District Courts.

WHOOPS! Apparently, either Kayla forgot about Nick's lie about April living somewhere else or Nick forgot to tell Kayla to lie by saying April did not actually live with them. Thanks Kayla! Really handing that probable cause to the police.

In addition, April's purse was found in a hallway between the master bedroom and bathroom.

She was arrested and released without charges. She is now being charged again. She received a summons for her first appearance next month.
Also new is the revelation that April was found in the master bedroom with Kayla. The Nick/Kayla charging docs only listed April and Kayla being found in the home.

So they were in the bedroom and knew the cops were at the door. Not only didn't try to flush anything but didn't even bother to grab her credit card out from underneath a full vial of coke? Lol how dirt stupid are these two women holy shit

Oh, it was the complaints that had REKEITA spelled wrong. Like against like, I should have checked them.

Nice catch on Kayla/April being in the master bathroom!

Nick wasn't there at the time. From ICR 24004152 Supp. 1 (Pomplun), after interviewing Nick in jail:
I was advised after this interview that ALIESHA SWEEP had contact with KAYLA REKIETA requesting if their live-in nanny CHANEY BITZAN would be able to assist with anything at the residence. SWEEP was advised by KAYLA that technically IMHOLTE was their live-in nanny.

Also, I haven't finished my review, but while I was looking I found:
Arrangements were made that the grandparents were going to secure the residence. We were able to close the door and we documented the damage to the door.

Let hope Nick represents her in court 🤞

🍍👩:tumblr:: Nick, I'm worried about my court hearing ...
:really:: Don't worry baby. The secret is to just skip it! Works great for speeding tickets.
That would be the best and funniest outcome.

Nice drop on those living Fleshlight papers, Gollum fucked up by telling the Fleshlight is a live-in nanny. (which we noticed right away from the original papers when they dropped)
Are you winning Qover? Wish you all million Tony Montana icebergs.
Cheers!

Guessing CPS interviews Nick and Kayla separately? Would think if he was in the room the report would have him REEEEEing after that statement.

to be fair it's possible they did try and flush the cocaine but they just had so much of it in so many different places that it was impossible to get rid of it all before the prudish incel pigs knocked the door down.
