Funny how he tells military people to face up to criticism, especially after:About a pony show for little girls no less.
*Video/post goes up*
*Jerry dismisses it as strawman/harassment, subsequently blocks them*
*Jerry goes on tyrade about how his critics are the dumbest people on planet*
Rinse and fucking repeat.
Okay, here we go again. This will talk about the second post and the whole "verbal harassing". I'm going to make one thing clear is that I have never been in any part of military or boot camp, but a few google search will get you informed in this whole thing. First problem with that post is that he sites no sources at all, so we need to take his word for it, right? (KILL ME).
Now the second thing is how in his post that he asked being "verbally harassed" (we'll just call it yelling because that's what it is really) will cause mental fatigue, which will make you tired, ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fatigue_(medical). The problem with that is that yelling literally does the opposite of that. When you are yelled at, you brain literally heightens all of senses at the same time and it can also cause anger as well. This is the first thing that your military officer do when you get there and yells at you to do stuff. The whole yelling is literally warfare and your training, so you will get used to it since the officer will yell at everybody to do anything. This makes yelling into normal mentally to you and will handle it just fine. The yelling also help the soldier to be calm in situation and able to be in control of the situation, so that you can lead or help your unit in these dangerous situations. Communication is also there as well. Also the part where he says that nobody can't mentally prepare for that is true, since Ptsd is like a random punch you can't see. But these type of thing in the military helps the soldiers from being less susceptible of getting Ptsd. Ptsd can be caused by multiple things (http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Post-traumatic-stress-disorder/Pages/Causes.aspx), and while it physical or MENTAL, so narrowing the causes and making there everyday life to be used to it, can help out. This guy with the first response have a better detail (https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-logic-behind-making-military-boot-camps-so-intensive) along with other things. Short of it is "Yelling at someone, preferably in the most personally offensive manner possible, is the easiest way to get a human being who is unaccustomed to performance under stress to take action while being placed under an extreme and sudden stress environment (combat). It trains them to block out the noise and the fear and the stress and just do what they need to do." and "The truth is, if you are less afraid of the physical stress than you are the psychological stress, you learn to get tough without complaining about it."
The third is his demoralization point, and demoralization is just depriving person of spirit (http://www.dictionary.com/browse/demoralization). Which is dumb point (of course from Jerry) since the military thrives on you having good morale and discipline. The discipline part is already taken care of in success since officers only target you with a yell and humiliates you when you show low discipline. This practice entices the brain that since he does these things that you don't like, you wise up and thrive to better yourself. This is like the teacher sending to detention for doing something bad, basically saying "stop being bad and get better". This also teaches your self self disciplined and better yourself even further. Now the morale part is on the decline in the military, but not because of the way these people are trained, because most of them don't have anything to inspire of doing inside the military. This is why when an something of big importance attacks the U.S and the military is greatly involved, them morale is high for many soldiers is inspired to fight for their country and citizens. There's more to it, so here's something more in explanation (http://www.businessinsider.com/us-military-morale-at-rock-bottom-and-sinking-further-2015-6).
The fourth is his point this is done on youngsters in the military, and it kills me again that he missed the entire point that these type of training is giving to them. These are young people who have all the attributes of being a liability of being a weakling in the military, so they need to endure these intense train to keep up and be ready.
So in short, Jerry again shows his lack of information about our military.
Dear God, the little stoner's got a point!
Real talk, love the take-down of his arguments and sources, but try not to make entire globs of text. It makes it harder for some people to want to read and get through the post, and posts like these are very important when showing up Jerry.
You're good, dude. I actually learned quite a bit from that ramble.Yeah I get that a bunch whenever I respond to post and why I don't really post so much. This one is just me being angry at Jerry for his stupid post, where I should be desensitize by now with his history. I just like to go on long rants, but I know people have better things to do then to read about a reply that everyone with 1/64 of a brain can tell Jerry is being an idiot again. I try to make it more funny and people will actually laugh. But thanks for reading my stuff. (Man I sound like a pussy)
Thanks, I feel less like a pussy now. You're good, dude. I actually learned quite a bit from that ramble.
Still more of a man than the subject of this thread will ever be.Thanks, I feel less like a pussy now.
Thanks for the compliment my man, but a baby boy is automatically more of a man then Jerry can even dream to be.Still more of a man than the subject of this thread will ever be.
Oh that'll be gloriouswhen I do a video on ForNoGoodReason
