The hearing is currently in recess as the House is apparently voting on something and the committee needs to be on the House floor for that. No timeline on when this will resume, but before adjourning Jordan did say that it would be after they finish whatever it is doing.

-DNC, VP debate, possible Trump vs Kamala debate - there still plenty of opportunities for Dems to self-destruct
-There is also a ton of dirt on Kamala, from her taking drugs to locking up black people for bullshit reasons
-"She'll get popular because she is a woman!" look how well that went for Hillary lmao
-Libs are in a honeymoon period right now, in a week or two Kamala's poll ratings will drop significantly
-She also has what I can only describe as "HR-lady phenotype", and every normie swing voter knows (and despises) at least one cunt like that
-Even Trump himself said that she is even worse candidate than Biden

This would explain a bit of the hesitancy. If it became pretty damned clear to them that the not-domestic terrorists they've been allowing to burn cities down in the summers of love took a shot at the Once and Future President, all hell would break loose and there would be some seriously awkward questions for the left.

As has been said hundreds of times, Conservatism, as observed by those who cling to the term in the United States, is worth less than a shit-covered assrag. It's just like how "liberal" means so many things that it means nothing. Both are trickster words that you should not trust. Party affiliations in the past have been even worse. What Democrats are experiencing now is what the Never Trump bloc put the Republican party through starting in 2016 until essentially the most recent Republican National Convention.
Redditors and journalists don't rag on Republicans, they rag on "Trump supporters." Trump is the Republican Party, basically by way of dodging a bullet to the brain. Any Never Trump people left are being cut away like dead flesh. Trump whips people into a frenzy one way or another and you'd stupid to ignore his unifying presence within and without the GOP. Might sound dramatic, but I have serious doubts about a post-Trump Republican party, even if from now until the end of time all the Democrats can muster are walking corpses and black women. They have four hard years ahead of them.

Nothing makes a side look better than responding to geopolitical crises with middle school pranks. Really conveys the seriousness with which they take all of this.
If they were really so very scared of these people, wouldn't they want to avoid the increased aggression and decreased decisionmaking ability that would result from sleep depriving them for a night? But they're not actually afraid, and they actually want to inspire more aggression. That's the whole point. Middle schoolers.
