Look I never like defending women too much in the woman hate thread, but it's very womanly to not acknowledge reality just because it feels better.

If I understand correctly there's actually a remarkably even split in the polls between women who are planning to vote conservative vs. democrat in this presidential race. Almost 50/50.

It seems like it's finally penetrating (hot) for some women that supporting people that want to flood the streets with criminals and shady brown men from third world countries might not be fully in their interests (not that who wins the presidential election will make a substantial difference, but it's a reassuring sign). Either that or this is a classic case of nobody hating women more than other women.

Not only is it hypocritical to criticize men for watching porn only to turn around and read their porn, but a lot of the popular romance books glamorize abusive relationships and, in some cases, outright rape and domestic violence.

Fundamentally, both visual porn and smut are fantasy. The difference is that one exaggerates the requirements for physical attraction (pornstars looking ideal, even if just in the eye of the viewer) and the other exaggerates the requirements for emotional attraction (husbandos acting ideal, even if just in the eye of the reader)
The problem is that they're both fake at the end of the day. Smut addicted women will think they have a leg up on men for reading, but it's virtually the same thing and it has the same impacts on them as hours of porn would have on a man (you aren't a novelist for reading smut the same way someone watching porn isn't a film connoisseur). Assuming they have something lacking in their lives (which is sort of a given if they're turning to addiction/escapism to cope), they'll begin to want to seek their fetishes out in reality. Men turn into perverts and obsess over physical aspects, and women make a checklist of every trope a guy needs to have.
There's nothing wrong with indulging in fantasy, but using it as your primary lens through life is how you neglect facing the challenges of the real world and eventually seek so much comfort that you wind up a troon or hentai-addict weeb or some other gruesome concoction that makes you commit to delusion entirely (BlueFolf's arc is basically a story of how this plays out)

People goon from desperation, thats the key. Not being in a relationship generally is the first step towards gooning. The people who support or justify gooning are usually the ones who lack self awareness or are too ashamed to own the consequences of their actions, not realizing that its a bad thing. Of course there is no defined point where foids will vote for the right so when they keep voting for the left, that just means we haven’t catered enough to the foids. Doesn’t take much thought to punch holes through that paper thin theory.
