My child at pre-teen age was absorbing weird messaging at one time, like getting offended whenever I or her mother would spout anti-trans/lgbt sentiments.
But good parenting goes a long way, and now in her teens, is just as disgusted at the trans-agenda and makes her own derogatory jokes against "gooners" and the like.
I think its better to educate your children on how damaging this kind of behavior is and cut right thru their messaging of "acceptance" with examples that showcase what the rabbithole of unfettered degenracy leads to.
However, no child should ever be allowed unsupervised internet access. Know what they're consuming, and guide them appropriately. Sometimes it's just as risky to shelter them completely, like the old stereotype of the religious young girls who go to college and turn into drug and drink addicted turbosluts when exposed to the party atmosphere of campus life.

A big part of the problem is parents who want to be their kid's friend. Good parenting is putting your foot down even if means making your kid hate you for a while.
Prohibition never works. If you get rid of your internet service and don't buy them any kind of smart device that can take a SIM card, they'll find a way to use the internet. Hell, a groomer could give them one. The better option would be to monitor your kids' internet usage. Use a remote monitor program to keep an eye on them. Sit down and watch TV/YouTube with them. Actively engage with them and their interests.

The goal is to make it harder for the groomer to get access to the child, not easier. Just because it does not necessarily work 100 percent of the time in protecting the child does not mean we should not make a decision that makes children safer from sex pests.

Hopefully, if nothing else, this story gets used as a case study on the dangers of porn addiction and how it can fuck up your life at least as good as gambling and substance abuse can. We saw this man go from a hundred to zero basically overnight in terms of his life and prospects and he did it all for nothing more than the fucking coom.
This shitshow is a blessing in that regard as it really showed how nobody is immune to this shit- even the people you'd think would be least at risk. If another benefit that be said to have come out of this, hopefully parents will start to learn how to do basic fucking network admin to keep these ghouls as far away from their kids as possible. My missus is pregnant atm and when our child reaches internet-using age, I plan on being an absolute authoritarian when it comes to network oversight because I'm fortunate enough to have experience in that regard and know what to look out for.
