They believe taking troon pills/injecting themselves with estrogen, however they take their hormones, gives them the same hormonal fluctuations a real woman has throughout the month, and apparently it's "affirming" when they get mood swings and an upset tummy because they think it's a sign they're becoming a real laydee!!! when it's much more likely to be one of the many adverse effects of pumping themselves full of hormones they wouldn't naturally have in their systems in such high amounts.

You answered your own question (they're nuts), but the bonus answer is that they're surrounded by others online who bend to their will since they can dominate online social media spaces and have those under control. They cannot do that at their family gathering, at customer service jobs, or even on a site full of Muslims or Mumsnet.
