It is both impressive and depressing that the Dems haven't learned anything from 2016. This perfectly illustrates the ideological capture of the left.

People will go in droves to Trump's rallies. They are emphatic about voting for him and are proud to be associated with him. Roughly one hundred thousand people showed up to Trump's ralley in New Jersey of all places before he even got shot.

Harris cannot even fill a high school gymnasium and yet she will get at least 50 million votes (and millions more fraudulently) on the basis of being a Democrat.

They aren't enthusiastic. They don't know what they stand for. They just vote blue because that's the status quo. It's hysterical that they think we're delusional ones on the right.

Democrats CAN be really super enthusiastic. Bernie got huge support. Not Trump level support, but really high energy fans. If Biden hadn't stolen the presidency in 2020 the frustration over Bernie getting shafted in 2016 and 2020 potentially would have won him the nomination this time. (See how Ron Paul had huge support in 2012 and then got shafted and the Tea Party stalled out and Trump + MAGA had massive support as a result) - the main issue is that Dems literally don't care about their voter base. They know that no matter who they ram through into nominations they'll get the Dems voting for that candidate, and just about every other presidency they'll get the moderates to do it too. Democrat nominees have nothing to do with what the voters want: it's all backroom deals and favors, which is why Hillary and Biden got 'their turn', and why they've entirely dropped the mask with Kamala this time and skipped voting completely.

You can't be enthusiastic if you're not involved in the process at any point and nothing you want will be done except incidentally or in some tepid fashion during election years. All you can do is be dutiful because "X is a threat to our democracy".
