I'd assume part of it is that her run is (in theory) as much about keeping the downballot from being a total bloodbath as it is a real attempt at the presidency.

(Bit of a rant, but just want to get my thoughts laid out.)

While I'm certainly very wary of more 2020-style cheating, I find it hard to get too doom-pilled on it.

The way The Powers That Be have burned political capital going after Trump for the last year, from the failing lawsuits, the arrest/mugshot, the ridiculous armed assault on Mar-a-Lago, and so many other things I frankly can't remember, it just doesn't seem like the actions of people who are confident they can steal the election again. Or even want to try. They seem to be trying every other option instead, even ones that make them look incompetent or blatantly corrupt, like the very one-sided lawsuits, and going after Trump over classified documents while excusing Biden's far worse violations.

(You might add in the assassination attempt too, if that was a sanctioned hit by TPTB and not just some FBI/CIA asset getting off his meds early and turning out to be less interesting in shooting up schools than planned)

I suspect that ballot fraud has always been the norm for the Democrats (the whole Dead People Vote Democrat has been a meme longer than I've been alive, after all) and probably for some Rino elections as well. But in 2020 they either got too desperate and burned a lot of political favors to push such a blatant fraud through; Or some state party officials went too far, maybe not realizing that Trump was gaining more votes than probably any incumbent in history, and by the time the leaders realized, it was too late to pull out, they had to win no matter how obvious they got and damn the consequences.

However it happened, I think it was too politically costly to them in one fashion or other to pull off, too many officials had to be pressured or bribed, and they didn't really get anything for it. They gained the WH, but at the cost of being in charge when the economy was collapsing, the Afghanistan pullout disaster, and having wars breaking out everywhere, effecting international trade and causing a civil war within the Democrat party itself over Israel beating up brown people. And Trump didn't even go home and disappear into retirement and ghostwritten memoirs like every other former President.

The only thing they really got out of Biden's term was uncontrolled immigration, which has started to irritate even urban democrats and is becoming a wedge issue with their black male demographic. And their only real political gain was a SCOTUS pick, and it wasn't even to replace a conservative justice, it was just maintaining status quo. It just doesn't seem worth it.

Ultimately, I feel that if they really thought they could easily steal the election again or that it was worth doing again, Biden would've been forced out months ago, if not even before the primaries began, and we'd be seeing Newsom/Whitmer getting hyped daily by the media and propped up with irrelevant registered voter push polls.

Instead, they kept Biden around so long even his own DOJ was calling him an invalid publicly, then they force him out mid-stroke and install a woman nobody in the Democrat party ever voted for, who is about as likable as Hillary on a good day. It's chaotic as all hell, and whether it costs them the WH or not, it'll have consequences down ballot. This kind of stuff rattles your more moderate types, who can't help but see the DNC leadership as incompetent to let this happen at all.

If any of that was planned, or even if they were originally planning to steal the election to keep Biden in power, they'd have at the very least swapped out Kamala with someone more electable and capable of replacing him when his next stroke shuts down what's left of his brain, just to give them a potential bench for 2028.

The best thing to do is just continue to ignore it, in my opinion. Addressing it would only give it some shred of legitimacy that it currently doesn't have. The only people calling Trump/Vance/MAGA 'weird' are the people who think Crooks shouldn't have missed and Biden shouldn't have dropped out. Even they don't think those people are weird, and their crowing about the imaginary outrage shows it. I don't believe it will change even one vote to Harris or even not-Trump.
