Might work if he was the actual POTUS nominee, not as a VP. And even if he was the nominee it is still super sketchy and hard to believe after a good... Jesus a good 22 years now of Democrats making anti-Americanism into a platform of theirs.

This is some extreme wishful thinking by him. It's another example of these fuckers thinking we are still in 2004 and cable news is the entire media landscape. They can't just spin shit like that anymore. The internet makes it too easy to pull old articles and reporting to compare shit.

I am begging Democrats to please stick to the "weird" messaging as their primary way of attacking Trump/Vance.
Because an entire party using "eew gross our opposition is a creep and totally doesn't pass the vibe check, tch" is doing more to convince normal people that don't live on the internet that enfranchising women was a mistake than my reams of historical examples and casual misogyny ever could.

It's probably their smartest rhetorical tactic so far because, to the retard masses, nothing short of doing a debate will negate their framing of "being scared" to debate. Even the best rational explanation can trivially be refuted with "HE'S STILL DODGING IT!" And there's no good rebuttal until after the DNC, so they're basically free punches.

When you evaluate these things, it's vitally important to remember just how dumb and emotionally-driven the target audience is.

I don't think it's even possible Trump won't debate her. Just say after she's nom'd they'll do it. I'm sure that's what will happen because right now who knows what the DNC will pull.
