Depending on who you ask, "black" is a cultural diaspora thing, not just African DNA. Africans typically hold US blacks in contempt and US blacks don't think of Africans as black, treating them as outsiders. There's literal black studies courses about this dumb shit.
There was even a petition by African-American students at Cornell University to try and get African students barred from Black programs because the African students were out-competing the African-American students for assistance programs. The African American group argued that being from African countries, not the USA, the Africans hadn't endured the trials and hardships that they had.

African students. Hadn't suffered like US born Black people. African.

Thats why the US made the deal with the Saudis, you sell your Oil only in US Dollars, and we supply you with military equipment to protect our deal. And its pretty much the same everywhere else, and if you don't agree to the deal. We'll coup you or bomb you until you do agree to the deal.

And guess which countries aren't agreeing to the deal? 😉
Saudi Arabia.

Yes, African Americans think they are the most oppressed people on Earth. They really do think this.

Is it not possible to be both black and Indian? What is the point of this?
She was proudly displaying she was Indian when she was AG because Indians weren't so widely hated as much as they are now. At the same time, she didn't advertise that she was half black because blacks are often hilariously racist towards mixed blacks. This is also because of her prosecution record regarding blacks. When a black person hears about a black person constantly prosecuting black people, they'll sometimes comment "they're just doing that to please their white masters, they sold out their own people!". This is made even worse because her black father is from Jamaica, not the United States, and African-Americans often think less of non-American Africans because "they haven't gone through what we have!".

Fast forward to 2024 and the Indians have managed to speedrun their reputation into the ground, causing a lot of Americans to hate Indians. At the same time, the black population is a rather sizeable voting bloc that she needs and there's a lot of non-black BLM fanatics. So now she's constantly parading that she's black while not mentioning that she's also Indian to benefit from that. The Indians don't actually think less of her for not mentioning she's Indian because they see her as their secret candidate.

It's not that she's both Black and Indian. It's because she's pretending to be solely 1 ethnicity when it suits her. She is a mixed race black Indian but presents herself as ethnically-fluid.

Weren't the Jamaican "black" side of her family the bigtime slave-owners? That might also have something to do with it.

That picture of a muscle bound shirtless Putin riding a horse next to that picture of Obama riding a bike while wearing a nerd helmet and wrist protectors remains to this day one of the strongest contrast memes I've ever seen.

Obama was a dork, he even has a thin reedy stereotypical nerd voice. I never understand why women saw him as some kind of sex symbol.
That's an insult to dorks. Obama was a  dweeb.

Maybe you are but now it's my turn. Why is her mother's race recorded as "Caucasian"?
I believe Indian isn't considered a main racial group, but rather a subclass of the caucasian trait group, since India was first populated by humans who were living in Europe, adapted to Europe and had to reactivate higher melanin levels to not scorch in a tropical country.. Technically, Native Americans are an offshoot of Asian type people, but that gets separated out.

I guess if you can get marked down as Caucasian in the 1960s you'd take it rather than wanting to specify an ethnicity. Dad went with Jamaican instead of negroid.

She was claiming Indian heritage because she was raised by her Indian mother in an Indian community, in Canada. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if she was raised Hindu.

This isn’t relevant to your main point, but India was first populated by humans migrating directly out of Africa.
Indo-Europeans did eventually conquer India, but that wasn’t until about 1500BC. By that point India had had civilization for thousands of years, with the famous and mysterious Indus Valley Civilization (aka the Harrapans) having already risen and fallen by that point.
The majority of Indians are also not at all related to the Vedic Indo-Europeans who invaded. Only the higher castes will have that ancestry, and even then only in the north in any appreciable amount.
The “we wuz Europeans and sheeeeit” meme is something pajeets push to try and not seem like the gutter dwellers they are.

You are correct that US considers them Caucasian because it’s a basket bin group based off now outdated 20th century racial science. (Caucasians also includes semites and Arabs too iirc, who have no real genetic relationship to Europeans. Iirc there’s a group of Africans who are more closely related to European than they are).

The mental gymnastics cuckservatives are doing to pretend Kamala is not half black is peak entertainment.
The mental gymnastics required to believe a woman who claims to be Indian when it's advantageous and claims to be black when it's advantageous ISN'T the very essence of a "diversity hire" (the question that Trump was asked) is peak entertainment.
