Paris 2024 Olympics shenanigans - The most multicultural Olympics ever.

Probably the same wishful thinking that they could clean the Seine. Where the athletes are all covered in antibiotic gel, taking a bunch of drugs to not get sick.
It's amazing they thought this stupidity was a good idea with the most notorious open sewer of a river in the world outside of India.

In the defense of the Olympic committee, this is the closest I've ever followed the Olympics. I'm definitely not buying tickets, tuning into watch on any official platform, or buying any merchandise. But I'm definitely invested in watching this train wreck.
In the months leading up to the Olympics, former Olympic athletes starred in sponsored social media ads hawking premium packages, which I interpreted as high-end (expensive) accommodations and event tickets. The frequency of the ads seemed such that someone seemed desperate to fill the stands. However, how many average people have the time, money, and logistics to travel out of the country on such short notice (and pay for a "premium" experience)?

Most importantly, how many of those attending in person feel let down by the awful opening ceremony and the other incidents that have made this particular Olympiad feel like less than an ideal experience? The various trainwrecks can't be good for PR.

Yeah I don't think that's what happened, it looks like just one guy puked and its because a Triatholon is fucking misery for your body. Puking after one isn't actually all that uncommon, if you've been to a running event youve probably seen people puking their guts out. As funny as the memes are it would take much longer than that to get ill from culturally enriched water.
People usually puke their guts out if they've been exposed to harmful substances beforehand or ate too much. For example, try drinking heavy alcohol and going for a light jog afterwards. You'll still be throwing up like no tomorrow. So I can totally buy the Seine being such a health hazard that you'd be safer diving into a pool of radioactive waste.
The cardboard beds were reported in my country as there to stop people having sex. Very French.
You'd think they'd at least want to encourage the male athletes to fuck around as much as possible since having vaginal intercourse with women boosts testosterone.

No see the French want them to be slurping cum like they do, that's why they're so surprised by the complaints of the lack of protein in the food they're serving.

American figure skating gold medalist Eileen Gu, posing with Chinese gold medalist 10m divers. Jesus they're tiny.

The dude looks a little embarrassed when she rests her head on his. The girl is fine with it. Clip reminds me of this picture:

For those who don't know the Matildas got to the semi-finals in the Womens World Cup and got wall to wall coverage in Australia, being treated like they actually won the world cup. People thought they actually did, so Google has a correction.

A lot of people thought it was ridiculous but kept their mouths shut. But now finally the hype machine has fallen apart.

Jesus I just caught a small part of the women's 66kg boxing and seeing the italian woman break down in tears against what looks to be a tranny(or just an unfortunately ugly woman, Imane Khalief?) Algerian boxer was heartbreaking to watch.

Edit: yep it's a tranny.

The italian boxer got hit with a single right hand, her team threw in the towel and then she broke down crying in the ring, the algerian tried to console her but the italian didn't even acknowledge him.
Fuck me that sucks.

edit2: now with video, the italian called the fight off after a punch. Unless you're an italian lip reader we can't know for sure what happened but I can take a wild guess.

Edit 3: Apparently it's up in the air. The article I posted claims it did chromosomal testing but some kiwis did some digging and I guess it's up to you figure out whether Algeria would want to give a tranny a pass in order to score a medal or if she's an actual she and her genetics are just top tier for sporting.

Carini did the right thing. Being a good athtlete also means being able to gauge your opponent's strength. She took the hit and decided "Ok, no". Her staff was also involved in the decision. This should have been her chance for a medal (it doesn't matter if she truly a chance to take it, she woukd have given her best nonetheless), and she got roped in this farce instead, fighting with a cheater that had the blessing of a captured IOC, a sports authority that allows men to compete with women because they might become sad if they don't.

I read her lips when she was in her corner: I think she said "È un maschio!" (He's male) to he coach, while he tied to hush her.

Edit: they said that apparently she said "mi ha fatto malissimo" (It hurt a lot).

Yea, bailing was the correct thing to do. I don't know who the fuck makes these decisions but its like pitting me against a guy that's 10cm taller and has 20kg on me.

Training only gets you so far, eventually if the difference in biology gets too great, you're just physically unable to generate enough force to stop the opponent when they're rushing you. I understand mixed matches for sparring, that's fair enough. Doing this shit in whats supposed to be peak competition environment is just madness.

Yeah she said "mi ha fatto malissimo" and she also said twice "Non è giusto", it's not fair. And it really fucking isn't. God I hate them all and I wish nothing but the worst to the Algerian guy and to every single person who claims that he is a woman. Angela was a fucking hero today in the ring, I'm sure her father (who she lost recently) would be so proud of her.
