TLDR: Everything's going by the rules. The two FEMALE athletes in question are victims of recent harassment and previous arbitrary disqualification by the International Boxing Association that was already disowned by the IOC five years ago. Nations will have to agree on new regulations in order for boxing to be permitted in the 2028 Olympics. Absolutely no mention of the inciting incident, intersex, or the woman who was clocked in the face.

A new rational has occurred to me. Though I'm not certain because of the vagueness of the statement, I think what the IOC might be getting at is that the two athletes aren't even intersex, but 100% biological women that were previously unjustly punished by the IBA for corrupt reasons. They may just not be saying this clearly because they don't want to broach the subject of trannies or intersex in Olympic sports.

So don't you think that with enough public outrage, this will happen gradually? These athletes will get stricter controls in regards to hormones (testosterone), and then we'll have another one of these matches, then more outrage, until this gets sorted out (until maybe, the categories are finally done as you say: division by biological sex).

she was considered a female since birth, brought up as a female and lives as a female. There a bunch of pictures from her childhood on the internet. So, either it's a defective male who only discovered he is male through the IBA ban or a woman with a syndrome, intersex or something else.

This is likely the situation. Due to the tranny menace now, the IBA decided to do chromosomal testing to ensure that no one was trying to cheat using bolt-on's, suppressing their testosterone into the female range, with a stink ditch. As a result they found an actual XY man who has DSD, which results in male genetics, but the genitalia externally, and typically internally (to a limited extent) were completely female. It's a genetic syndrome, this person was born this way, they had no say in the matter.

So, they are genetically male, typically have underdeveloped testes retained in the abdomen (which, if detected at a young age, are typically removed because they have a very, very high rate of malignant transformation (they become cancerous), have a vagina that ends in a blind pouch since there is no other internal female anatomy for it to interface with (no uterus, no ovaries) and the external genitalia can range from identical to that of a natal female, to something really weird, something that appears to be mostly female, and certainly not male, but not anywhere near "normal". What they have is the male tranny ideal, a perfectly functional and normal vagina and external genitalia.

Coming from a 3rd world country it would be easy for someone with this genetic disorder to not be detected and they would be raised as and live as a girl. Sometimes they pick up on it in these countries when the woman never has a period, ever. Usually in a 1st world country like the US, it is typically detected very early on, usually before puberty. Some do get to the point where they are detected once they never get a period, but that is rare, unless they have had poor access to medical care of any reasonable quality. Until that IBA test was done, they likely had no idea they had XY chromosomes.

As for how to handle this situation, that's a whole 'nother post.
