It's a sum of things, like Mexican_Wizard_711 said, there are tons of controversies already, between the IOC being a corrupt entity, France being in some political deep shit and all the politics pushed into the Olympics, beginning with the opening ceremony, it's a drop of water in this whole context. And mind you, political manipulation on twitter is a thing, and several entities can push the same arguments for their own agenda because they share interests and not particularly because they are deeply secret allies.
Like I don't think Russia and Musk are pushing anti-tranny stuff in the west for the same reasons at all.

Honestly I feel like I may have jumped the gun after watching it on tv. Having had more time to think about it and looking more into the IBO and "her" career; I think it's more likely it's a woman with really high test and an unfortunate face ala Mya Lesnar than it being a tranny. I thought the chromosomal testing bit would have sealed the deal but reading more and more it's getting questionable and it's hard to confirm.

The thing you people don't understand is that in Iran, maybe it's possible to be a tranny. But they are Shia muslims in Iran, and then what you have in the Muslim world is mostly Sunni (like 90%) and they absolutely don't endorse anything LGBT, and they really don't care which letter you are.

I've seen this posted more than once, and it needs to be corrected. One cannot ever "grow" a penis after fetal development. It's literally impossible. Here is a good page that explains in fairly simple language how the two most common types of enzymatic feminization, 5ARD & 17B HSD, syndromes work in 46 XY people:

There is another type of DSD where someone 46 XY appears absolutely 100% female with no external signs that they are not a woman. This is where the androgen receptor that responds to testosterone is completely absent secondary to a genetic deletion, or is so severely damaged, also due to smaller genetic deletions of rearrangement of DNA, that it doesn't work. The type involving a damaged androgen receptor is a spectral disorder, which can range from complete lack of activity all the way to a substantial amount of activity. The amount of activity determine how the person develops. If they have no activity, they will look completely female an without a chromosomal test, or internal imaging with something like a CT scan, it would be impossible to tell them apart from a natal female. If they have substantial activity, they will look just like a typical guy. For lesser fractional activity, you can get anything in-between.

This just covers the most "common" types of DSD in XY people, there are many, many more rarer types, and this doesn't even touch on DSD in XX people. The medicine and science that explains DSD can get very technical and complex. However, despite all these different types, they are all very rare to extremely rare. Most physicians that don't work with people that have these disorders at a major medical academic medical center will typically never see one of these patients, that's how rare they are.

FYI that, without testes, even high T women can’t really make that much testosterone. Testicles are the main organs that make testosterone. If you have more than a certain amount (like 30ng/L… less that 1/10th of the low end of the male range) of testosterone, you either have testicles or you’re taking roids. Just because the testicles can be internal doesn’t make them ovaries and it especially doesn’t make the person with testicles a female.

There is no natural overlap in the normal male and female levels of testosterone.

Really, this. Apparently there has always been an intersex problem within sports, so as to create its own category or better rules will be created, but no, this continues to be ignored and it is the women who have to endure competing against a possible man. Honestly, I find it a little unfair.

Now that this thread has properly devolved into yet another autistic slapfight over troons in olympics (and what counts as a troon), I also don't understand why the IOC or whoever writes these rules can't just decide overnight that (effective so-and-so date), only XX females can compete?

Wouldn't that rule out the DSD's and others who don't meet that strict requirement? Setting aside the inevitable whining about muh sporting is a human right, etc.

The paralympics is for differently abled people. Ths is already a solved problem. Put all the microdicks, trannies and bearded ladies there.
