By the way I was on the forum when the trooning shit started and without fail every single one of them was some combination of depressed, lonely, autistic or academic failure. I despise this new revisionists history philosophy and yearn for when history can just be respected. The past can't be changed and if acknowledging that fact makes me evil, call me Satan incarnate. It's also pretty interesting that these troons never say, "I turned into a woman". It's always, "I was a woman all along forever and literally everybody was wrong".

The trooning seemed to mostly happen to people you'd expect it to happen to as well. I'm guessing this started in 2015? I'm grateful I left when I did (not the first time this was stated in here I'm sure) and going through this thread almost gives me a feeling of vindication. I see some names come up in here and think, "HA! I knew he was a piece of shit!" or, "Damn what a disappointment. Fuck him then".
It's pretty odd; nobody mentioned here has really betrayed first impressions.

Pretty much everyone involved in the old YTP scene in the late 00s (i.e. everyone outside of the YouChew cult) were very explicit in their dislike of Stegblob/Marion Cullen, because he was always so repellent, disgusting, and unsympathetic; he even faked a hack of his old youtube account in a vain attempt to gin up attention and sympathy, and it didn't work at all. Likewise, any delusion that he invented 'Pingas' is yet another schizophrenic fabrication from the YouChew-lites. Notice how they always ascribe this "creator" shit to the most unlovable creatures in existence, whether it's Steg, SuperYoshi, Radock or some other interchangeable sex pest. They can't find anyone even vaguely competent and charismatic to put on a pedestal, which is very telling.

The 'community' has always been rife with faggots claiming to be chicks, but are really just anti-social, overly effeminate males. MeiAIDS is one example that comes to mind. When we had a guy who figured you were just automatically supposed to know who they were or who they were talking about we’d post a good old fashioned “Who?” . Insulting, demoralizing, takes the wind off your sails, and gives you that feeling of “you ain’t as high and mighty as you think you are”. Were you ever actually friends with SuperYiffer, or rather, did he ever pretend to gove a shit about you and others? I just think it's strange you keep paddling the nonsensical garbage that he he's the epic YTP inventor/whatever, when you evidently don't seem to believe that rubbish yourself.

It’s one of those deals where you can say Matt invented it, or you can say it’s always been around, or you can like,shit, go as far as the first caveman to draw dicks on some one else’s cave drawing edited that cave man’s drawing for satirical purposes. So therefore Ooga Booga the cave man invented YTP. You can get as specific or “Well ackshoowally” about it as you want.

But what’s accepted by most people is that Matt and his circle jerk of friends got together, made a bunch of edited Mario and mega man cartoons and whatnot. And that over time sparked a long going trend of chopping up videos. And at some point some body threw out the name YouTube Poop. I’ve heard a ton of different stories, none that add up and honestly nobody can really decide on a cohesive narrative on how that name started, it just showed up one day.

I see that you use the terms “nonsensical garbage” and “rubbish”. The word rubbish is not in common use in the US so I’m guessing, UK boy? Not that it matters. I bring it up because from the sound of it, you don’t seem to subscribe to the idea that Superyoshi was who sparked off YouTube Poop. And that my friend makes me curious.

Because I’ve read chunks of this thread over the years. And I’ve loved a lot of it. In fact when I ever decide to make music again I plan to call my next album “Pretentious Hipster Blues” referencing what y’all’s good friend Rokro called my subpar recordings back then. YTP was my bread and butter of cheap entertainment in early 2007 and several years onward in college. I will say from recollection that the people taking the format autistically seriously or content creators with signs of mental illness was there even in 2007-08.
JeffLindblom (probably one of the sanest YTP makers ever) made the infamous "What is Spaghetti?" poop which more or less caused the first major boom in popularity for YTP, but got lambasted for its supposed simplicity and outshining all the other uploaders, so he made a follow up to the comments months later in the most "i don't give a shit lol" manner which is probably the best way you can mock people like this.

To this day people still seethe over the "quality" of what was meant to be literal shit. The irony is that despite being gone for a total of 8-10 years from YTP making, he leisurely comes back to make some killer Morshu remixes by 2020 and once again explodes in popularity dwarfing all the losers who are too busy critiquing rather than making.

The troonathon seen in the mid 2010's with Youchew, you can date back to a prominent individual named igiulamam\oiramapap. If you by chance don't know who he is, he's responsible for making some really catchy YTPMV's back in 07-08, primarily his popular Robotnik remixes (Tomorrow I'll, From the Show, Robotnik's Tea Party). Somewhere in late 2008 and early 09, he just snapped. Before trooning became popular for the unstable attention whores, its sibling in the spectrum, furfaggotry ,was the most common avenue in 2000's circa internet. Overnight his youtube page made a complete change (lot of people thought it was hacked because it looked like a fucking parody) and he would go on personal emotional tirades. Completely unreal. But he was by far the Prometheus in this community's descent into madness and a worthy lookup.

Honestly, the more I think about it, you can trace a lot of the degeneracy on the Internet back to furries. Like, when the "gay revolution" took place in the mid 2010s, it kinda went in two different directions but started at the same spot.

You had the DEI types that were emboldened by Steven Universe and took over Hollywood and Corporate America, and then you have the degenerate furry-types that were emboldened by Undertale and took over creative-driven indie spaces like YTP, Soundcloud, SiIvaGunner, and then eventually entire sites and communities of online artists and programmers.

Igiulamam made some really good YTP's. I think that was the general consensus of how much of a dramatic shift his profile was to either being hacked, a prank from a sibling, or one massive shitpost. It's not like others didn't partake into that back then either like MeiAIDS
