I only mentioned it because it's always interesting how the media pushes narratives almost passively on people who don't pay attention or care. I always find it fascinating because so many people I know have views and thoughts about lots of things that are objectively wrong. They just pick them up passively. Or just blinding get propagandized to with out realising.

Ah ok, I thought it was something more depressing. Yeah, it's interesting to interact with people that are receptive to you but definitely do not frequent the sources you do. Also shows you that you don't hate journalists enough with the bullshit they can spin AND that goes through.

Like you suggest. It's less people being stupid and more not paying attention and "trusting experts" because why would they lie?

Not saying it's right but luxury has never been a feature of "high performance sports" unless you're in one of the big moneymakers like the ball games. You're stuck in a shit hotel you take what's served on the plate (usually you'd have your own meals prepped for the event anyway or doing a mini fast eating energy bars and shit) and you go to sleep a few hours earlier. This guy sounds like a princess pussy bitch also

100% cashless is fucking crazy. Any time I go abroad I always split my money between cash and card so I can leave most of my money in the safe in my hotel room and only take what I'll need.

This system basically guarantees that if you lose your card (which many people carry with their phone) you are literally felted.

The IBA do not sanction the boxing events at this Olympics. The IOC stopped recognising the IBA because they're aligned with Russia. A new, ad-hoc body called the Paris 2024 Boxing Unit is sanctioning the boxing at this event, which is why there's so much confusion as their regulations are different. Under IBA rules Khelif and Lin would be banned.

As for Angela and the prize money, IBA president Umar Kremlev went to Twitter and talked about the situation himself.
