Official Tor Hidden Service for the Kiwi Farms

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I keep getting unable to connect errors after a while after passing the inital kiwiflare check. I think whatever is supposed to let that run again is not working properly, as .net works fine over onion.

Tor is slow as fuck and page loads fail multiple times
#worksonmymachine
This is almost always due to a bad tor circuit the most common tor problem. Whether you or the hidden service has the bad circuit is different, but the solution is always just getting a new circuit or waiting for the service to switch circuits.

What did he mean by this?

But yeah also getting the expiration message on Tor today here.
The address itself is a public key that is used to verify the computer hosting the service is the one that owns the service.
Or: TLS is mostly redundant for hidden services.

The certificate thing is gone but Tor is back to having a really unstable connection. The constant demand for bot checks after like 5 minutes isn't helping keep the connection either.

The connection has degraded for a while while still being workable, but it's close to unusable this week.

Summary of my work:

During #DropKiwiFarms I started propping up services basically on every provider I could find to see what stuck, and since we've found what stuck I am starting to cancel services I do not get any or much use out of.

One of my efforts to improve the Tor hidden service was to place it on a secret enterprise provider which has wonderful transit. My hope was that by having it on one of the best networked datacenters in the world, it would perform better (since the Onion router itself does such a great job of avoiding blackholes in the clearnet). That did not work.

As a result I've been paying several hundred dollars a month for a VPS which might as well be hosted on an $8/mo VPS in a basement in Romania. So I'm doing that to reduce our overhead.

Interesting side note is that regular Tor users will notice Tor now uses KiwiFlare, whereas before it just used haproxy-protection. This is just a byproduct of reusing more of the same servers and overall reducing the complexity of our internal network. If we start getting DDoS attacked again and this impacts the Tor service's uptime, I will move things around again.

Its unlikely we are ever going to go through something as intense as the DropKiwiFarms debacle again, especially since a lot of its members are getting ousted as awful people which will definitive make normies think twice. Not that they will cease thinking we are a mean damn dirty troll site, simply that its best for them to leave us be and go after something easier to boycott for good citizen points ™️

With that said, it is good to be future proof of any BS in the years to come.

A toast to Null and the Farms.

Does this create a single point of failure for Tor f kiwiflare goes down?
