If I was to define the majority consensus I would call it more race essentialism. There is nothing wrong with people being who they are, in their own space. As I said earlier, the danger to the UK isn't these riots. They will calm down eventually. They always do. The danger is if the government overreacts. There's a lot of old blokes looking to get arrested right now. They know the young ones are going to get prison time and they're standing up for those boys. Many have been to prison already and know how the game is played. They expect the young kids to be put in Muslim run prisons to be murdered as many patriotic British men have been. So they're intentionally trying to get many of them into prison with them so they can form a British gang in every prison and counter the paki gangs. This isn't a riot by a bunch of yobs. Just to add on to this, I strongly doubt the British government would be able to do much with the Armed Forces even if they wanted to.

The army is in an absolute state at the moment. Pay is abysmal, working hours are oppressive even by military standards, accommodation is awful, and many regiments/corps are so undermanned that many soldiers are having to double or even triple up on tasks that aren't even within their job description. Needless to say this doesn't endear the soldiery to the civilian government, except for maybe the most brown nosed of senior REMF officers.

And just to add on to the problems, I don't know if you've dealt with many enlisted before, but they're mostly from the exact same communities that are rioting right now and a significant portion of them, infantry in particular, hold political views that would make a lot of the rioters seem tame. Even some officers I've encountered have openly expressed views that would warrant a visit from PREVENT under the current guidelines. If the government was foolish enough to order a military response, at best they'd be faced with a mutiny, and at worse a coup.
