There isn't much night here at the moment. The sun goes down about 10 and rises about 5. The rioting goes on until about 3am. There isn't much more you can do at night than what is being done. We're seeing about 10 hours of rioting and 5 hours of protesting before it. What more are people supposed to do? They can't keep at it 24/7 and losing numbers gives the police a huge advantage in rounding them up. Better to go home together and come back tomorrow.

If I recall during the BLM riots most of the more "normal" protestors would go home at nightfall and the more hardcore people would stick around doing whatever in the night. These were usually antifa activist types. With the UK last call is still like at 11 where in ost of America it's 2am most places. Also consider Americans get drunk after darks where brits drink during the day more.

Consider the fact UK protesters have a lot less leeway, vs the US where basically until 7pm almost all is Gucci as long as it's not causing rioting or looting.
