Strangely, I like Pastra: he usually describes his points well and is pretty passionate in a good way. But getting butthurt about the box of all things is so silly. I'm a casual enjoyer of the games but I could see that some of the writing was off the cuff before it being confirmed by Scott. Personally I don’t see why people like this faggot so much. I remember Pastra got his sped fans to harass UrbanSPOOK simply because he called him autistic, all because Pastra poorly criticized his series, and UrbanSPOOK rightfully so shat on him for that which he got butt hurt for that.

he isn't the worst YouTuber I've seen. I do like some of his videos, but his channel has always been in the same space in my mind as the YouTubers that go over Western animation for me. shit like Saberspark or sarcastic chorus; extremely autistic and terminally Twitter-brained.
The same goes for many FNAF YouTubers, for that matter. That's not to say I hate them, rather it's a very superficial enjoyment of their stuff. I just can't get super invested in them the way I do for other channels.

Pastra is admittedly my favorite out of all of them. Say what you will, but I genuinely admire the actual passion that's going on there, as opposed to someone like UhYeah as I mentioned earlier. Like, hell yea little man, tell me about that game or movie or classic creepypasta I'd forgotten until now. And their own analog horror series has actual effort put into it, which is neat. But enough defending my favorite autist.

I do think that it's reasonable to be disappointed about the box. Dumb, but reasonable. Especially after it was teased for so many years and been such a huge point of speculation. That and it's kind of a reminder of what could have been had fnaf not gone in the weird sci-fi direction it has. And it also leads us to wonder how many other in lore mysteries just don't have answers and if Scott even knows his own lore. Which he doesn't, obviously, but I can see how outright hearing him say it can be like a "Man behind the curtain" feeling. Especially if there wasn't an original IDEA of what the fuck was in there.

Anyway, sorry for rambling I just woke up and was greeted with this thread updating. Hopefully I actually wrote something coherent lol.

I will say I hate how Scott words things. "I don't know if I can find it again..." like man just say you had no idea what was in the box (even though you clearly made it out to be there was a definitive answer before) and own up to it. I'd have so much respect for Scott if he just came out and he has no idea what the lore is anymore. He's always gotta be so cryptic and I don't think he's ever given a direct answer to any lore related question.

People tend to forget the fact that Scott spent most of his game development career making quick games w/ no genuine thought put into it, most being slot games. So it's no shocking that the guy who can make games quickly with no genuine foresight to the story (besides what's interesting in the moment for him) can only come up with cool mysterious moments with no substance to it. Not even trying to shit on Scott here, cus that's just how he is and he's earned his money. But, it's annoying when these types of pretentious people (not Racceepo in specific) who try to search for deeper meaning into shallow content are shocked when, surprise surprise, there's nothing to be said.

That is the point, the game didn't have a story in the beginning, Scott just made shit up as time goes on. I think people didn't even give a shit about the story when the first FNAF game released, people just cared about the characters, game play, and YouTubers playing it & shitting their pants. The only reason why people were curious about the "lore" is because MatPat / Game Theory made a video trying to understand a non-existing story. When MatPat / Game Theory's videos got popular then people started caring about the non-existing lore which got Scott to see it and the rest is history.

I dont think anyone really understood the story, people just liked banding together on forums and whatnot, trying to put together clues into something cohesive.
It was fun talking with my friends about theories for the next FNAF game back in the day. if it was any less convoluted I dont think it'd have been as successful as a series because of that.

Dead by Daylight is a online multiplayer 4v1 slasher horror game where 4 survivors have to repair 5 generators, open the door and escape. Where the killer's goal is to kill all 4 survivors. That's the game play in short and explaining the mechanics will take a long time; I find this funny because this game is for Mature audiences and not that many young people play this game, besides either just adults or edgy teenagers; When this collab comes out the 12 year olds are going to raid this game.

The Dead by Daylight Community is the second most toxic community I've ever seen next to FNaF. I might just make a Lolcow thread for them in due time, that's how toxic they are. The game is fun but it can be frustrating at times, my pro tip if you don't want to be a toxic piece of shit lolcow just close the game and take a break.

When I say toxic I really do mean toxic. Someone got pissed off that they lost a match and DDoS the entire Dead by Daylight Servers which is illegal btw if you didn't know.

Off topic The Dead by Daylight Community is insane. It WILL rot your brain. I used to lurk on DBD Twitter, and last year there was back to back drama that has been lost to deleted accounts. One highlight is the transgender person who thinks he is one of the survivors in the game, a Hispanic woman named Jane Romero. By the sounds of his voice, he's as far from Latinamerica as you can possibly get.
