Dude you are only talking sprinting. I'm a long distance runner.
I can choose any random sport and compare women's olympians with high school boys, and it all comes out the same. Women's OIympic 5k record is 14:26. High school boys' 5k record is 13:34. 75% as fast as the world's fastest woman is 19:24. World record for 8th grade boys is 15:47.
I am 110% sure that no man in this thread can complete a sub 20 mins 5k. Not "in my youth", but now.
I'm middle-aged and have fucked up joints, so yes, women Olympians in their twenties can outrun me. So what? "75% as fast as a female Olympian" is still a middle-school boy. Why not just say, "I'd give half my life's savings to have the physique of middle school track champion?"
But to see this gratuitous hate and dismissal of professional athletes that work their asses out and sacrifice almost everything to reach these times is both sad and comical.
I don't hate 15-year-old boys who work out and train hard, either, but I'm not going to pretend they're the equals of grown men, nor do I envy them.
