I just rewatched the MATI episode recently, it was somewhere between the final December stream of 2023 and the stream on January 12th, 2024. I tentatively want to say it was the January 2nd stream since the actual interview was posted on the 29th of December.

Sorry I can't be more specific but Odysee doesn't show a thumbnail preview when scrubbing so it would take me forever to go back and find it.

Why is there a spoon in his miso soup? A true and honest Japanese drinks it directly from the bowl and uses chopsticks to fish out the chunks of tofu, mushrooms or whatever.

There's some out there but he's not very good and has trouble understanding it and speaking it. Basically it's what I'd expect from a beginner. Somebody taking actual courses should be better by now.

Speaks for the quality of the course he is shelling out to. It’s probably online classes not even in person and in a group where he doesn’t get a lot of actual conversation practice.
