For now. Sadly, Singapore is addicted to cheap Malay labor and will eventually let too many in. That will be the policy of one specific NHS trust (Think regional administration of NHS services). There's 215 NHS trusts total, ranging from very small to very large.
To reiterate, this is just one trust. They'll be back in less than a year because middle class people LIVE for twitter, even if they say they hate it and/or Elon.

Everyone saying that there are hordes of angry IRA types laying in wait for the weekend feels too much like 'Trust the plan' Q talk.
The people are falling back into the norm, and getting ready for the government to stomp them. The government has played the optics game blatantly, but they don't need to convince everyone.
Just scare people into not talking back.
I always hope to see the Irish/Brits start to hit the villains in ways that hurt, but even on a mob tier they are losing.

So prison time for a little over two years for mocking a cop.
Even if we accept this is non-physical assault it's still excessive. This at most merits 30 days in jail.
While severe sentences may seem a good idea, their is a diminishing return as a sentence that is too severe just makes it rational to go all in.

Everybody, and I do mean everybody, should familiarize themselves with using tools like yt-dlp. Yes, those github pages are a little intimidating because that's just how code autists roll. Don't let it scare you, because it's an extremely lightweight program and the documentation is excellent.
Here's how easy it was for me on Windows: I downloaded the right .exe version and stuck it in a dedicated folder which will hold the things I download. Every time I want to use the yt-dlp tool, I open a command prompt from that folder by typing cmd in the address bar (it's the part of your file explorer that shows the file path)
With the command prompt now open to my archival folder, I just type yt-dlp into the command prompt and paste the URL of the video content I want to download. That's it, that's all it takes. Everybody should learn to do it because it's so simple and powerful. Sometimes I will have to fuck with advanced options like spoofing a specific platform to get around "403 Forbidden" errors, but yt-dlp's documentation (it's the link I embedded at the beginning of the post) has always had the answer for any question or problem I run into.
One of the things I like most about KF is its archival culture. I really don't want to see that go away, especially now with just how many provable lies the UK Gov is telling about this situation.

People shouldn't be shocked by these sentences. The UK has been a police state since Blair. Longer if you were Irish.
People used to get 1-2 years for shouting at the police in the 2000s as well. Though typically it was the Muslims back then with overtly anti-British, anti-Western sentiment. But people were warned the very same draconian anti-terror laws would come home to roost. Used to call you a deranged conspiracy theorist for saying so.
I would be glad to be vindicated after all these years, but i'm not. Sucked then, sucks now.

For the cheerful Bongs who like to talk with other human beings that are closer to the centre rather than protest enjoyers I've been testing a few of the info drops to see what lands well and what falls flat. The fellow who got two years for throwing a water bottle and kicking a police vehicle is a shocker. Say that's what he got sentenced for and ask what they think his punishment was. Most people are shocked when they hear that's worth 2 years in prison. When you add the early guilty plea means it would have likely been halved that disgusts people. If you really want fun note people who've got lesser sentences, all examples are good but pedos work for everyone, rapists and sex pests for women.
Ricky Jones up there is also good. His best use though is the two-tier policing because, as should be obvious even though they are not on camera, police were present there. He bellowed that through the megaphone and they did nothing in the moment, only investigating after it went viral as a result of Farage sharing the video on social media. Something Labour want to make illegal.
If people want to see the video send them a news article from the Guardian, BBC or Independent without it and say "you'll have to look it up for yourself. Like the police and Kier have said, if I share the video with directly then I'll be going to jail for doing so. Same if you shared it." Yes, it's a cowardly reply but it is what they have said and there's multiple news articles where they say it. When people realise that sharing blatantly criminal stuff like that because it's a pro-immigration protest that will click things for them.
