When Trump wins he will have beaten 2 Presidential candidates in 1 election. FATALITY. FLAWLESS VICTORY.
If we're talking in terms of fighting games, knocking out Biden and Kamala in the same campaign sounds like a Happy Birthday.

Hey Trump Campaign, I smell a merch idea.

Vance is young and they probably see him as Trump's successor, which he very well could be. Assuming Trump does bestow his blessing on Vance in 2028. This makes him the prime target of neocon boomers and leftists because they really fucking hate Trump's positions as they actually solve a lot of America's problems, and we can't have anyone in government actually fixing things.
Piggybacking this, Vance is Trump without the baggage. For a long time, I disliked Trump not for his policies, but because of his personality as a whole. Even today, there are things about him that rub me the wrong way. The media certainly did a thorough job to make people like me dislike the guy. Vance, however, has been consistently based ever since being picked as VP, and he's running on a platform that can actually solve issues. This is why they need to find dirt on him and make him unlikeable. If Vance runs in 2028 and they haven't built up the hate towards this guy, he would win by a landslide.

It's also why they're pushing the false narrative that Trump regrets choosing Vance, or that Vance is the worst VP pick ever. It's an echo chamber they want to make reality, but are struggling.

I hear you. I was a "Never Trumper" back in the early days of his 2016 campaign. Then, I saw what was happening and I voted for the guy out of defiance and spite against Hillary and the establishment in general. Most hilarious and awesome Election Night ever.

Over the years, though, I've learned to embrace and love the abrasive personality. He pisses off all of the people that I truly despise, so I enjoy it. lol.

I do have my criticisms about Trump still, though ... It's just that they are dwarfed compared to the problems I have with literally every other politician out there.

One of my criticisms about Trump over the years, though, has been his "poor judgment" in who he surrounded himself with during his first Administration. His VP pick this time around was the only thing I was worried about with his campaign and his future administration. Vance appears to be the real deal though, and it's clear that Trump picked someone who is going to be the future of the GOP. Everyone was predicting that Trump was going to pick some "soft spoken guy" again like Pence so he wouldn't be upstaged ... That is so not the case with Vance, and I couldn't be happier. Trump picked another fighter from the looks of it.

Cumala doing her best Obummer impression.

Edit: collective bargaining is saying collective come together r

Dude. Someone didn't prepare her properly.
Let’s not let the government tell the collective what to do. Even though we’re running on the democratic ticket.
Lel lmao. She really pulled out he will not divide us.

Trump wants 3 debates, Sept 4th, 10th and 25th.

Perfectly reasonable
If Kamala seriously refuses or ducks from him again, then she will not win the presidency, even if she did win the popular vote. She’s now spent 17+ days without doing a real interview or press conference.

It‘s just doing rallies where the people are only there for the celebrities and the social media posting.

So I'm reading that Glen Youngkin (governor of Virginia) just signed an executive order to remove illegal immigrants/non-citizens from voter rolls, also establishing prosecution procedures for voter fraud.

As far as I'm concerned, Virginia is legitimately in play now. Trump has yet another possible path to victory.

Also heard some good news about election integrity in Nevada as well.

Just serving some white pills to the doomers out there.
Catching up with the thread, apologies if late. Found an article describing Youngkin's EO and election security plan: archive

(The Center Square) – An executive order has been issued to codify Virginia's “election security procedures” implemented by Gov. Glenn Youngkin. The governor issued Executive Order 35 on Wednesday to “protect legal voters and accurate counts,” which includes “stringent ballot security, complete and thorough counting machine testing,” and “best-in-the-nation voter list maintenance.” Youngkin touted the commonwealth’s election integrity, reaffirming the need for every “legal” vote to be counted.

“The Virginia model for election security works," Youngkin said. "This isn't a Democrat or Republican issue, it's an American and Virginian issue. Every legal vote deserves to be counted without being watered down by illegal votes or inaccurate machines. In Virginia, we don’t play games and our model for election security is working.” The governor outlined how votes are tabulated, reiterating his commitment to ballot security as Virginia moves back into the spotlight as a potential battleground in November’s presidential election. “We use 100% paper ballots with a strict chain of custody," the governor said. "We use counting machines, not voting machines, that are tested prior to every election and never connected to the internet. We do not mass mail ballots. We monitor our drop boxes 24/7. “We verify the legal presence and identity of voters using DMV data and other trusted data sources to update our voter rolls daily, not only adding new voters, but scrubbing the lists to remove those that should not be on it, like the deceased, individuals that have moved, and noncitizens that have accidentally or maliciously attempted to register.”

Youngkin’s office indicated over the last two years that nearly 80,000 deceased voters were removed from voter rolls via a “comprehensive audit” by conducting multiple National Change of Address mailings, which resulted in the removal of the deceased voters.
In addition, between January 2022 and July 2024, 6,303 noncitizens were removed from the voter rolls, according to the executive order. The commonwealth is only one of three states in the country that require individuals to provide their full nine-digit Social Security number to register for voting. Youngkin’s office added that over 90% of commonwealth voters electronically register to vote through the Department of Motor Vehicles ELECT. The DMV “requires applicants to submit proof of identity and legal presence for those that do not yet hold a valid Virginia credential.” “When issuing a credential such as a driver’s license, DMV verifies applicants’ proof of identity and legal status with the Department of Homeland Security Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) database and the Social Security Administration database,” according to the governor’s office. In addition, the order directs the commissioner of the Department of Elections to certify in writing annually that election security improvements are in place. Lastly, it also “outlines the procedures in place for noncitizens who attempt to violate the law and register to vote," including referral to commonwealth attorney offices and the Office of the Attorney General.

It just occurred to me that the "WEIRD" meme is another gaslighting tactic.

They aren't trying to convince you they are right. They're trying to convince you that you are alone. They are trying to make freaks the "norm" while marginalizing sane people.

It's what Communists do. They don't persuade, they humiliate.

Exactly. By default, Trump looks strong here.

>He’s agreed to three debates, while Harris has only agreed to one.
>She was probably hoping he’d refuse 9/10, so she’d have the ease of debating an empty podium with softballs being lobbed by the moderators*. But now that he’s agreed to show up, those hopes are dashed.
>Unless she agrees to 9/4, Trump will then be the one debating an empty podium, which not only makes her look weak, it allows Trump to talk policy in front of a massive in-person/virtual audience, working the room like a pro. W Trump.
>If she refuses 9/25 (with NBC), there’s no way for it to be spun in her favor, and Trump will take another lap, just like 9/4.

They’ve successfully turned the tables on the Harris campaign, who were gloating that Trump is a chicken. Now, they’re the ones who look hesitant and weak. They’re forced to choose between getting Harris out there more (which they want to avoid for obvious reasons), or keeping her sheltered/putting all their chips on the 9/10 debate. Which, given CumAllah’s anxiety and lack of practice, is sure to be a winning strategy amidst such high stakes and pressure. Attempting to play it safe by keeping her out of the spotlight, given the recent change in the playing field, just leads to weak and shitty optics.

*Given her avoidance of even the most left-friendly media organizations since she started her campaign, I think even this would be too much for her to handle.

I mean, if you don't like a politician, then you don't like him. I'm gonna disagree with them and say why, but I also understand that no politician gives a shit if you live or die, so I'm not gonna end our friendship over it.

In this age of loneliness, people who have your back IRL are worth more than gold.
I think you slightly misinterpreted what I was getting at; I meant it was interesting your mostly apolitical friends fell for that meme specifically, but probably fucked my clarity by using "they" which could be read to mean many different people including your friends, when I was specifically referring to the DNC as "they", and was musing about why the 'weird' meme in particular would be effective even for people not plugged in to politics, even if it is easily rebuttable.

I wasn't trying to suggest that rebuttals were needed or anything like that, as the part about rebuttals was aimed at the more general idea of countering the meme outside of the vacuum, such as in a proper debate, but this is what I get for using an unclear "they". :story:

Nothing weirder to these people than a functional nuclear family.

No way any network airs trump by himself with some guy asking questions for an hour.
