Whenever I feel like shit, if it's a situation or feeling which is gender specific, I almost always think about how better it could be if I was a woman. Married men as well, they might feel inadequate in a relationship, I can certainly see myself feeling inferior to a prospective spouse. Not necessarily justifying it, just it happens/can happen. It's a fetish plain and simple at the heart of it. No if ands or buts. Are there psychological weaknesses that make some more prone than others to develop it? Sure. But if there problem is generally dissatisfaction there are many well known routes to feel better about yourself. Beginning to work out, getting better style, changing diet, styling hair different, trying to a better (or any) job, perhaps getting more education, moving to a different area for a different start or to get away from a run down area, etc. etc. etc. And none of them do these things. People say it's because being a tranny is an "easy way out" but I doubt that. Even if it's fuck off insane there is effort and getting past a sense of shame that takes a certain determination. The only thing people get wrong is thinking there aren't those out there that don't go to extreme lengths for "just their fetish/kink".

To be honest I think the military thing is more happenstance than anything else. If anything, you could argue the connection would be that they went to a super masculine job trying to quell certain feelings or they got off on the juxtaposition between it all. But there are far, far more civilian and non-vet trannies. A lot of the people who get drawn to military and defense department jobs are just regular people, if often below average, who mostly get attracted to it for the benefits like help with a college degree and not because they're tough guy patriots.

Any argument about it being from somewhere other than a fetish is lying or trying to distract you. Any talk about some of them being poor self-hating gays are lying to you. There are more straight and bisexual men who do it than gay. And self-hating closeted gays just stay in the closet and seethe--their issues usually stem from having difficulty accepting they're indeed men who are into other men, not that they should be women, though some go through a phase of thinking it'd be easier if they're girls they grow out of it.

I know what you mean about cowtipping, but he’s so indiscreet he’s going tip himself. Not to snatch away your last crumbs of comfort, but I think he does present as pretty normal.
