Judging by the reviews and how hard it is to find a torrent for Thor's game (despite it apparently being crowdfunded), do you think he is using fake identities to inflate his reviews? This is a known phenomena, much like botted tweets with suspiciously high numbers on Twitter:

Who in the world wants to play an unfinished RPG? The whole draw of that genre is the story. Might as well ask who wants to watch an unfinished movie.

This hack. I remember his mouth running on YouTube shorts and recognized him from a short stint at Blizzard under a 3 month contract to help train up some people for higher positions before they spun up a new project.
Can you clarify something for me? When did this guy start working in Blizzard? 2009 or 2010? The reason I ask this is because in 2016 he said he worked 6 years (2010 - 2016) and in 2020 and 2023 he said that he worked 7 years (2009 - 2016):

He made a GameMaker game 6 years ago and now thinks he's Steve Jobs. LARPing like some C-level executive of Microsoft or some shit.
The psychopathy of this little cunt is truly incredible.

He worked as a Q&A engineer, which is the lowest possible level of software development you can achieve and is 99% of the time outsourced to H1bs and Indians overseas. AND HE LITERALLY WAS HANDED THE JOB

also please add this to the OP. This is Maldavius's real voice:

He looks like “that kind” of fat guy. You know, that one fat guy who has bedroom proclivities that put Pamperchu to shame. That one fat guy who showers twice a month. That kind of fat guy who unironically thinks “wow I might be a sexpest pedophile but at least I’m not a racist homophobe”

He really does use a fucking voice changer!

Maybe that's another reason why he won't debate Ross, he'd have to reveal his real voice. I do not think for a second this little tard is competent enough to have a live voice changer set up.
He probably either does it in editing or uses an OBS filter or something. Don't know if he streams but I THINK he does? So he probably just uses one of OBS' built in filters.

EDIT: Also his excuse about his voice just randomly changing when he hit 30 is so fucking bullshit. You'd have to be a retard to believe that. Your voice DOES change slightly over time but it's very slow and gradual. You're not going to suddenly gain a deeper voice out of nowhere when you hit 30 if you sounded like a faggot beforehand. That's not how it works.

Unless you're smoking A LOT of cigarettes or something. But this kid seems too faggy to smoke. If anything he probably vapes like a pussy.

Can’t you just adjust your microphone settings to make your voice sound like that deep gay Howard Stern fake bassy voice? I’ve never live-streamed (I’m not gay) but I just know that from when Mersh was similarly accusing Podawful of “faking how deep his voice sounds”.

He definitely bass boosts his streams and content, but I think we might have more of an Elizabeth Holmes situation here. See this live moment from streamer awards:

(Preserve Tube)

According to him, he got lung damage from his 9 month COVID in 2020. Maybe he got his "deep" voice from that instead of "second puberty"?

Depends on the microphone itself. Some of the really expensive ones do but it's not a standard feature. The more likely explanation is he's doing it through his recording/streaming software which is probably OBS though could be something else, who knows?

But OBS does allow you to put filters on your microphone audio to mask your voice, or make it sound deeper or bassier, ect.

I was wasn't in a position to know that. I bumped into him around 2015. Which puts me near the end of his run at the company. And as I said before I was only around for 3 months. I was mostly working with less senior employees and I don't waste time when I'm going to be working with someone for such a short amount of time to make friends with the office. That was also around the time I was first becoming disillusioned with the industry and had yet to accept that I played a dirtier role in it so I wasn't really out to make friends with people I was just running into. I was very much in the "it's a pay cheque, I'll go home and forget about this shit that I fundamentally don't agree with and once I'm paid" phase. I can tell you as best I can tell that he wasn't a particularly noticeable person at my 3 months there. I had one encounter with him on my first day that I described, and I took note that something about a guy who made other people uncomfortable. What that tells me is that he wasn't well liked around the company if I had to guess.

As a hobbyist to audio I can give some general answers here from my own experience.

If this guy is using an XLR mic with a proper XLR interface, and there's no reason to assume he isn't if he's serious about streaming, there are some interfaces that have bass and treble knobs for their input. This alters the signal before it reaches the computer since it's done directly inside the interface itself. You can get ones like this from as low as $50-ish. One of the ones I found when browsing for examples was the Behringer Xenyx (amazon link, beware cross site tracking) input mixer. Other options exist that make it trivially easy to get the radio voice sound before any virtual processing takes place. Retards and streamers (but I repeat myself) will buy the GoXLR because it has established itself as the brand for streamers though it vastly overcharges for what it offers.

If it were being done software side the method would be taking the input from the microphone, piping it through a filter program with anything from basic options to full VST support like Adobe Audition, then piping the live output of that to a virtual microphone which would be used in stream software or voice chat. Virtual audio devices are reasonably common now thanks to things like Voicemeeter and the proliferation of streaming tutorials.

In this guy's case it's likely creative equalizing to emphasize the lows while flattening the highs. Live EQ is very light on resources if done digitally. OBS can likely do it on its own with no visible performance hit. A proper radio setup would be doing it through hardware and a dedicated mixing board.

I'm curious about his claim that his voice dropped after seeing the streamer awards clip. Never heard of covid irreparably altering people's voices.

Claims he doesn't follow the guy, somehow comes across a 2K 7 year old video, decides to defend his honor in the comments, magically comes across a short (out of probably hundreds) with the information he needs. Very sus. Could this be actually "Thor" himself?
It really does read like him.
