Identity politics are truly one of the greatest blights on discourse to come from the left.

I’ve never gotten the rhetorical appeal of it either. Admittedly, as Straight, White, Christian Guy I’m not the target, but it seems so demeaning and dehumanizing to Minorities, Women, and other groups to classify them as all having the same general ideals and interests. Sure, they’re going to have some broad overlap, but just because someone’s black doesn’t mean the biggest and best thing that they can have in their lives is Gibs. Same with women and abortion. Or gays and whatever they’re told to care about after Obergefell.

But everyone, including themselves, are just supposed to ignoring that these are all individuals who have their own ideals and principles which may directly contradict those supposed interests. All because of immutable qualities.

It’s amazing how we went from “I have a dream” to this in less than a generation. If it wasn’t so evil, I’d actually admire the skill the Left showed in accomplishing it.

The idea of re writing The Bible to be politically correct baffles me.

Christians believe that The Bible is the actual word of God, given to trusted disciples and acolytes and transcribed for everyone else.

Is that actually true? Maybe maybe not but the context makes the idea even more offensive than the usual sjw rewrite.

No, you are still miscounting. He's not saying "thirty days is a year" as is clear by the rest of this quote where the time is listed as two years and thirty days. He's saying he rounds up after 30 days into the next year. Which is completely stupid mind you, but no, even in your link other rabbi are arguing with him that this is stupid and that isn't the case. Jews as a general principle don't consider it a new year every 30 days or they would be on year 72,000ish instead of 6000ish.

As I said, it's creepy enough that you don't need to exaggerate it.

It's not actually as crazy as it sounds, if memory serves: the traditional Jewish calendar is true lunar, but unlike the Muslims, they resolve the floating seasons problem by occasionally grafting in a thirteenth month. So some years can be longer than others.

It's still not a new year every 30 days though. Grafting a 13th month is logical for a Lunar calendar to help it line up with the solar calendar, but they don't count every month as a full year. Just like we don't declare a leap day its own independent year, or consider every new day a year.

The Jewish year is apparently 5784, and if each year was 30 days we would only have had jews for about 500 years.

Rounding any remainder up to the next whole number is a thing people do sometimes, even if it's more common to round up after the halfway point. You don't really see years being rounded in common use, but that seems more like jewish rules lawyering than a serious argument. Cheating God at every turn is a point of pride for them.

You still wouldn't round every month as a new year though. Even in the example it was 2 years and then attempts at rounding, but then the one day would not be able to be accounted for and that's why the other rabbi were arguing it had to be one day into the 4th year to qualify. So it just seems like they were having a theoretical argument for the sake of arguing on an admittedly filthy topic. They also argue that if your rape victim dies then you don't have to pay the dad, because it doesn't specifically say you have to pay for a dead maiden, yet they haven't murder-raped themselves out of existence, so these seem to be more weird edge cases rather than routine practice.
