also remember Biden was hiding in a basement for 90% of his campaign and was speaking to like groups of 20 people when he wasn't.

the dems are trying to replicate that strategy again this time around but without covid/the riots i doubt it'll be effective especially since they're the incumbent who have ran the country into the ground now.

Throughout the 2016 election, I kept telling people that Trump was going to win because Hillary was barely campaigning. Hillary was more focused on the fluff piece interviews on the mainstream media and the fundraisers full of donors and celebrities. People told me I was nuts when I kept saying that Trump was going to win, but then Election Night happened, so ... lol.

The 2016 Election was not a shock to those who actually paid attention to both candidates' campaign strategies. Hillary's was "I've got this in the bag, I'll let my volunteers do the work for me" and she took the electorate for granted.

A friend of mine actually volunteered for Trump's campaign in 2016 in Ohio. She was telling me stuff all of the time about how the Trump campaign was dominating the ground game compared to Hillary and that her campaign HQ in Ohio was never full and lacking the amount of volunteers needed.

And another friend of mine (who I am no longer friends with, btw) volunteered for Hillary's campaign in Michigan. On Election Night, she freaked the fuck out on Facebook. "We did everything we could as volunteers to get out the vote, but we just couldn't spark as much enthusiasm as we all thought How could this happen?! REEE! Minority friends of mine: Please tell me what I can do. I'll do anything to help you!" lol.

I had always wanted to pitch a show about completely incompetent body guards trying to protect a guy from competent terrorists, and only managing to pull it off through sheer dumb luck.

I can't tell you guys who is going to win. But I can promise with 100% certainty it's going to be a shit show either way.

I've had two people IRL say they're going to kill themselves when the results get announced so Trump can't genocide them. Apparently suicide for Trump is the it thing this week.

If Kamala wins there's a semi decent chance of civil war part 2 getting released early from everyone saying it's been rigged again.

Just like how they were all gonna move to Canada when Trump won in 2016 and the Civil War was going to break out when Joe stole the election in 2020

Nothing ever happens until it does.
Kind of got close on jan 6 to a happening. Maybe just maybe this somewhere something kind of close will happen again.

There will always be true believers. If your already Democrat or lean hard left. You are firmly in the Kamala camp. There's plenty people who somehow still buy Trump being literally Hitler when he really wasn't in his first term. So there will be people who just got over the whole "switch and bait" pick and got with the program.

The second camp are those who don't like Trump's mean tweets and abrasiveness or have feelings about abortion/ trans rights/ gun safety so feel compelled to vote dem regardless who's on the ticket. You might feel a need to go and show your support.

Hillary was never hugely liked but:

a) People recalled she had been trying to get the spot for a while and got unlucky when Obama ran
b) she had been doing stuff with Clinton Foundation like assisting Haiti (press was burying how much they actually fucked that up)
c) went hard on the first woman president angle

Her rallies were small. I recall one case where she had a few row of people but press were taking pics to make it look like she had a huge ass crowd.

In comparison. Press would always take shots of Trump so you couldn't see the crowd he was pulling in. Hence him starting to call them out on it. Also the polls were all showing decent support for Hillary.

But as another poster noted. There were various states like Michigan where Hillary just didn't bother visiting while Trump actually did extra rallies in the last few weeks of 2016 election.

They basically gaslit themselves into thinking it was impossible for Hilary to lose. That's why 2016 results night caused people to freak out so hard.
