I had to work in combat cargo on my first deployment. We loaded and unloaded cargo in support of combat operations. We weren't loading and unloading cargo while actively engaging enemies.
Combat correspondents correspond about combat operations. They're reporters that report on combat. They don't edit stories on their laptops while calling in close air support from a fox hole.

The news is doing the same shit, parading out a bunch of celebrities that served in the reserves saying that anyone that joins for any reason at any time is a hero. This is bullshit. The vast majority of people in the military, deployed or not, will never get the opportunity to do something heroic. Military service is infamously boring, even for infantry units. 100 hours of stone cold boredom for every 1 second of excitement.
"How can you say he's not a hero? He served 24 years!" Sort of. Walz was a weekend warrior. You can say Vance served 4 years while Walz served 24 years and that would be true. When you understand the difference between active and reserves, Vance served for 1,460 days while Walz served for 864 days, and that would also be true. Lies, damn lies, and statistics.

I live in a globohomo area and even I see FJB stuff pretty frequently. You are correct to a degree but, once you throw serious inflation and safety concerns into the mix, people stop giving a fuck about political pageantry. There are a lot of people who live in the Big City™ of my state who are furious at all the illegals spitting at women and drinking at 1 PM in the community gardens without repercussions.

I disagree, sort of.
I see a lot of similar rhetoric in the legal community regarding juries. “The average person is dumb as fuck, they shouldn’t be deciding cases.” Or similar ideas.
But in my experience, that’s not really true. And I don’t think it’s true for the average voter either.
Yes, American education is abysmal. Yes, plenty of people do make their choice off retarded things like gibs. Many people probably will vote for her because she’s a black woman. Conversely, many people will not vote for her because of that. But those people are generally “blue no matter who” or “never blue no matter who” types.
But I do think that the undecideds, who are one the key demographics for winning the race, will decide based off of policy and substance, at least to an appreciable enough degree that those things still do matter.

The moment people have to vote they'll be thinking about pressing matters like their paychecks shrinking, the inflation growing to furry levels and the border issue. They are not going to be thinking about "TRUMP IS WEIRD LOL".
Even the dumbest motherfucker can understand what having an empty wallet means, or be angry at how their salary isn't enough to live and they will never be able to own anything at this rate. I expect Kamala to get destroyed, if there is ballot harvesting then it's only going to soften the blow.

Story mentions a Vance vetting file based on publicly available information. These are generally nothingburgers, because the info is already out there, but you can expect the media to try and sell them as somethingburgers. The real problematic stuff in the DNC leaks was the anti-Sanders stuff which only really made any difference because a lot of Sanders supporters were already pissed off.
Anyway, Iran is definitely interfering in our election in favor of the Harris campaign (or were interfering in favor of Biden). That's the major takeaway.
