General interest in Chris seems to be waning since he barely lets any content slip out anymore. The fire changed things up briefly but who knows when the real swan song will be. I can foresee this subforum getting rolled up into lolcow general down the line and the forum disassociating itself with a then-non-existent CWCki.

No I can see the CWCki remaining, if only for posterity or as a PSA on what happens if you raise your kid wrong/give out too much info to private individuals you don't know on the Internet.

The CWCki will be annexed. Render unto Nullsar.

Didn't I predict this would happen when the forums were changed?

I was like 'Null is going to use this change to become ultimate ruler of the boards' and everyone was like 'lol what a twat, let's not listen' NOW look where we are!

As I said time and again, if there's one thing Chris does well, it's make a grand splash (...ew) when everyone thinks he's dried up.

It's been a while since the fire. Some new drama may be right around the corner.

I think it's funny how some people are freaking out over a lack of recent Chris stuff. Hell, considering a couple years ago he was almost off the grid entirely for months and months, this gap is next to nothing.
True that. We might wanna be patient when it comes to this.

Yeah there are other boards here to pass the time till he inevitably does something.
Sure are. Plus, we could always lurk the CWCki. There's a few articles there that don't get old.

At the very least, in the coming year Chris' house will either be knocked down, rebuilt, or abandoned. Surely any one of those options could be considered new content.

But this is Chris we talking about here. Do you really think he's going to have an internet-free year in 2014? That's not happened since he discovered what a great way the internet is for him to find Sonichu's obvious fanbase. Once the house is either knocked down, rebuilt or abandoned, he'll say something on FB. He'll paint a tree on the forums to let us know how stupid we are. As long as Chris is alive, there will be new content. If that's a good or bad thing is a matter of opinion.

I think that perhaps if 14BC is ever repaired/reconstructed, that might trigger a comeback from Chris. Someone in the other thread said that a recent email from Chris, he sounded more coherent. Perhaps he is using this time to recover, normalize himself (as much as Chris can) and enjoy all the new stimuli in his life. Before the fire, Chris' only escape was vidya/the internet, and with 14BC the way it was on top of Barb being controlling, no wonder.

No doubt Barb is still trying to control him, but just the fact that he no longer lives in a hoard (and hopefully Barb hasn't started a new one) is a big, positive change for him. I don't doubt he still plays vidya, but the lack of stress from the hoard is doubtless making him feel better even if his diet has not changed.

The only way Christory can end is with a real tragedy, which I think we all hope is not going to happen anytime soon. Other than that, we will never know for sure if his last facebook post, leaked email, or video will be his last.

I also don't entirely agree with the "Chris never changes" philosophy. There are significant differences between the super naive high-schooler, the rage filled troll-bait, and the depressed tom-girl. There is some continuity, but that is the case with almost anyone.

To say that Chris will lose his naivete or sense of entitlement or something like that is obviously a stretch. To say that he will eventually disappear from the internet isn't. If anything, his lack of personal contacts/career makes it much easier to happen.

I hate to sound like a vulture...but I have a feeling that when Barb passes to the Great Hoard in the Sky, Chris is going to go into deep mourning for a significant amount of time, then reemerge online like the phoenix reborn. This will end abruptly when Real Life cuts down his internet.

When Chris or Barb dies, how will even know without any facebook updates? It's not like Coldslaw or David will print an obituary or even plan a funeral? If they had died in the fire, would we have even found out? One of them may already be dead for all we know. Chris might still be in mourning right now

I'm pretty sure our insiders still have some lines of communication with Chris open. They'd know if something like that happened.

If nothing else, there's local police blotters and stuff in newspapers that would mention if a body or two had been found in a dilapitated house. Honestly, when Chris dies, it may be the trolls/field agents who ultimately notify the authorities when they haven't heard from him in a while.. That's kinda sad, that the very people Chris hates will be the only ones who are in any way looking out for him.

I'm thinking Barb has a pretty tight leash on Chris right now since they probably are living in the same close space in that hotel and have been back at home pre fire for quite some time. She knows if she lets her autistic son run off to his own space for any amount of time there will be trolls and Megans and duck pictures all over the internet. She probably doesn't even know he can connect to the Internet and Facebook with his iPhone and wouldn't let him do so if she did. Once Barb takes the last train out he will hit the Internet like a firestorm from hell. This will be the saga to end all sagas. You won't even remember there was a time before this.

When that happens, his body might go undiscovered for weeks, months, or possibly years, no one would go looking except for bill collectors or landlords, neighbors may not even notice any difference

Then his body really would be a mummy/zombie like his Lego self depicts.
