There is but it's legitimately the only video that hasn't been taken down or deleted by the reddit/discord spergs gatekeeping this. There's some coverage Russian and Spanish if you want those.

I'm down for lending a hand on any potential analog horror community thread project but I think that the main reason we don't have one already is because it sort of blends with the safe-edgy of this thread already. There is just so many ways we can talk about the same tired tropes, hypocrisy about what is out of bounds and a-logging before the thread becomes stale. We already lost the sex pest allegations for Kister and Casanas, the doxing of the latter, the furry weight gain project, the scary vs. disturbing debate, the UrbanSpook a-logging, the Greylock guy being based, Welcome Home already has its own thread. Analog horror is the young adult version of YouTube Kids content farms.

I suggest we make a world building general thread so we can talk about other niche shit that isn't drama central like Mystery Flesh Pit National Park or even stuff like All Tomorrows. May serve to make community projects too.

I'll try to give you a better idea as to what I mean.

This guy is a love him or hate him deal, but he sort of proves my point. He started out covering All Tomorrows, The Teeming Universe, The Resurrectionist moved to SCP, Eduardo Valdes Hevia and Trevor Henderson then to Backrooms, Leovincible and MFPNP and analogs like Happy Meat Farms and, surprise surprise, The Painter. There's a pipeline.

I randomly decided to google Pizzagate and searched for new videos and somehow found this
This guy does a pretty fair overview of this whole situation. Surprised this video hasn't been taken down
He also did an overview of the 9/11 timeline pointing out suspicious timings during the attack

I honestly think all the things you mentioned such as the allegations and urbanspook debacle are more than enough for a community watch or general thread to make fun of the shittier works outside of this, the issue of using this thread as the analog horror drama one too is that its too broad and some things get lost when people start pivoting to other subjects
If not atleast for more thoroughly giving the more notable drama aspects a much more centralized thread and double checking on all the archives done of them, so if one wants a primer on the degeneracy so they dont have to look through a thread that also has people shooting the shit alongside drama posting

He's a guy who spends most of his time playing creepy horror themed games or mods for existing ones like Minecraft. I personally don't mind him, though I do see him having some problems in the near future.

More specifically, he seems to have drunk the Boykisser/Femboy Kool-Aid, and considering that most of his fanbase seem to be teenagers or young adults...

Now I'm not going to accuse him of anything, but I wouldn't be shocked if some kind of allegations about him and his fanbase come out in the next couple of years or so.

somehow people are still making new videos so they can regurgitate the same talking points and play moralist over analog horror.

i think his content is mediocre outside of a few effective moments (pigs was by far the best thing he's done), and while i do agree with these tenderqueers that it's basically just shock value, that isn't a novel concept in horror.

imagine the SAW franchise or some of the new french extremity films coming out today and the wave of braindead zoomers png avatars crying about it on youtube.

I'd prefer if Urbanspook just made his own website and posted his paintings to it. I don't care about the story he's trying to tell I just want to admire his art.

Also in all that monologuing about art, horror, and nostalgia the guy leaves out one of the most important factor for the rise of the PS1 style... it is relatively easy and accessible for indy devs. Low poly models are usually not that hard to make and texture, there is greater tolerance for stiff and awkward animation, and level design can be kept simple and plain. It's not a complaint and some devs make genuinely amazing stuff with it. But I find it funny how they don't talk about the technical side of things because it will take away from their 2deep4u psudo-psychological argument.

Anyway, shout out to BallisticNG a spiritual successor to wip3out that does the PS1 style very well while looking nice and crisp.

His paintings are still good. Most people who insult him wouldn’t be able to create art at that level. If people won’t appreciate him or his work, they don’t deserve it.

I don't mean to TMI but my parents occasionally watch The Librarian with me and they've taken to calling him the "whiney voice man". Now that I think about it, that "whiney voice" sounds like more of a gay lisp.

It's especially evident in this clip of his VOTV playthrough, which his fanbase has described as him going "full femboy mode":

On that note is there a speculative evo thread? It would be fun to be able to critique speculative evo projects without a bunch of Redditers or YouTube commenters shouting everything down out of sycophancy for the creator. There is more drama to be had in that then one might first think.
