Looks like I'm getting rid of all my Pathfinder stuff.

So the thing about this is that this clown has basically been kicked out of Paizo. He got effectively booted when they unionized, and barely counts as a design director. Like we're talking half a day per week rubberstamping one or two things at most level. He only counts as an employee by technicality to save face.

Paizo's pozzed to hell and back, but they do like money. I'd not be shocked he he got squeezed for being this retarded with his PR.

That's pretty sad. I liked a lot of his adventures he wrote in Dungeon Magazine back in the day and his work on the first few adventure paths was great. I don't really know what he's worked on lately because I haven't bought a gaming product in ages but I guess if Pozzo want's to release something cool I'll just steal it instead.

ah that's an interesting story I had when I was designing TT RPG's and I disagreement with this one guy who later turned out to be a pedophile who didn't like me I made it very clear I was a conservative Christian.
The point being people who scream the loudest about right wing people in the hobby or normal people in the hobby usually are child molesters and rapists.

They just put out a lore book for Tian Xia AKA Asia, and the subreddit revolted because the mod wrote some huge post about how anyone who wants to discuss it needs to read a wall of text about how they're probably racist first. They also constantly complain that the cop AP is bad because the serial killer you're chasing is too gruesome, and the first question in any thread about the AP in a country ruled by spider people is to ask why Paizo put artwork of spiders in the players guide (it's inconsiderate to people with arachnophobia).

I still think the actual company isn't as pozzed as people think they are, they're just very subtle. The iconic Thaumaturge, the class built around making up bullshit and forcing it to be real, is a non-binary person who's obviously a very ugly and masculine man. I don't know to interpret that in any way other than based.

the whole tian xia thing actually kicked off a bit earlier when some people wanted to discuss how to build a samurai (which is racist you see, because that's what people think of first when they hear fantasy asia, not some noname-warrior archetype of some no-one-cares country in bumfuck SEA), but when pointed out and even more so after that retarded wall of text, he and his pet nigress mod banned a good chunk of the people speaking out or even questioning it, lot of normies alongside it.

said dude was also running the "unofficial" pf2e discord and promptly made fun about it, which of course got leaked as well and riled people up even more. lot of handwringing later dude stepped down/got kicked (ofc not due to any fault of his own), not sure if the pet nigress is still a mod, was already banned at that point.

that was where I finally washed my hands of paizo, since they literally let some retards shit all over their brand to the point fucking with normal players, there was no speaking out, there was no disavowing the subreddit, just quiet acknowledgement. that's why I'm not surprised them and the retards in charge doubling down. at this point I'm just waiting for a bunch of them inevitably get outed as sexpests and cp hoarders.

Speaking of wokeshit (terrible segue but I'm using it), an author who put out books I like has a Kickstarter up. The preview is really good so far (I've only read half of it), but at does the exact same shit the previous book did, with a little +1 or +2 on top. It's basic stuff that is easy to revert. Like an adventure where you recover the body of a guys dead husband.

The +1 is things that might be wokeness. The constant references to how multi-racial the city, or that almost all the good NPCs of note are women. Again, these are trivial to change so players will never see, so why bother? Other things are just odd. Like a centaur that is a master of disguise, not with illusion magic, but with disguise kits. Maybe the intention is she disguises the PCs?

Wokeshit aside, I like it so far. It's a bit derivitive of his other work, but what I like is that all the material is gameable. eg. The politics. There's a queen, an elected council, and an order of knights. It's easy to understand the set up without requiring lengthy explainations, and they can easily work for or against each other depending on how the DM wants to run it and how much the players want to interfere.

Looked it up only to find out that JP shut the whole thing down because Adam Koebel rped a date rape scene. Every other ttrpg podcast I can find is either d&d or cringe.
