It's weird seeing the scene aesthetic being used again, part of me likes the vibrant eye sore that is sparkledogs and scenecore outfits but it's like in visuals only, these mfers aren't making myspace accounts though I suppose one can argue that tiktok is the new home for angsty teens.
Don't know if this whole trend is a proper revival of scene or if it's just wearing it's skin around like some horror movie slasher.. or perhaps something inbetween, funnily enough I have seen S3RL songs trending lately which was a pleasant surprise.. wonder if soon we'll hear something like the medic droid playing in weird hyped up tiktoks.

I mean.. the quirky scene outfits and the playful imitation of scene and rawr xD interwebz culture is charming in a way, it's no real harm to the vast majority and I prefer people having a look at the old internet and finding some fascination in that rather then the weird changed latex furry grooming shit or trying to be digital niggas shooting their digital glock into their digital opp which I found more degenerate then wearing hideously mismatching neon colors and being "rAndomZ o_0" or having a legally distinct neon green dog robot plushie.

Though these mentions of self harm are quite concerning, I don't think we need the zebra stripe patterns back from all those years ago.
At the end of the day there's no real way to revive a culture once it's died down but I suppose the mimicry can be fun to watch especially for those who've lived it, kind of like how boomers will compliment your music taste when you blast 80's rock or something.

Not that guy, but it's a five-minute-long mix of an obby and a walking sim (if it can even be called either; I use these two descriptors very generously) in which a talking blue sphere gives you platitudes the entire time. People have since gone on to claim this is one of the most emotional games on the platform because the prerequisite neurological disabilities you need to play Roblox intensively have rendered these people emotionally retarded.

this seems more like an allegory for abusive relationships where someone uses disingenuous positive reinforcement to convince people to make permanent, harmful, life altering decisions with no benefit or reward

Definitely agree on the whole game's tone feeling disingenuous. The little dialogue there is comes off very much like it's trying to convince you really, really hard that there's any care here. It makes people eating this shit up all the more annoying.
