The split wouldn't be that simple, unfortunately. This is Highway 101. If you're a normie and live in a town this highway passes through there's a 90% chance you vote blue and are an idiot (this also applies to Oregon and Washington). If you ever wind up here, just avoid that area and you're probably fine. Lots of nice hiking and trails up in the mountains.

eta: Regarding the voting map a few posts down, the 101 is just one highway and doesn't hit all the major population centers. It's just the route that all the rich city boomers wind up on between portland/seattle/sf/la/etc and a lot of the small towns cater hard to their tourism as a primary source of income so if one of the travelers decides to settle it's generally the area they wind up in.

Worth noting that I've seen Trump signs go up and stay up undefaced in that area this year and that's a real first.

No, Northern California has the same problem Southern California has: one large county has the most electoral power and all the rural ones have to suck it up. It doesn't really matter of Stockton and Modesto and Jefferson vote Republican when Dublin, Alameda, and Milpitas vote Democrat. Northern and Southern CA are slightly different when it comes to how they use their income, but mostly the same when it comes to being pozzed.
