For posterity’s sake and general archiving purposes:
During the week of June 26, 2024 Chin’s was averaging ~53 seconds of awkward silence (or cat deflections) before saying “hello” to her first participant in livestreams.
Fast forward to today’s livestream: it was now 56 seconds of our Capsized Ham Planet fattly sitting alone in awkward silence before the first participant showed up in the livestream (the livestream where Gunt announced she was streaming from her building’s gym because Julia was in heat again and “acting like a skank”). Chins wanted everyone to know that fortunately the back alley, shady AF groomer totally legit veterinarIan had given the cat ANOTHER hormone shot to silence her sexy time yowling.
also to note: it was over the one minute mark before Chins really started to say hello to other participants joining the chat.
Is this a statistically significant observation? Nope.
I’ll pay attention this next week and see what Gunt’s awkward wait time (GAWT) averages out to be.

She’s so stupid. She’s hated being called “animal abuser” most of all the derogatory names levied at her. Allowing Julia to undergo Heat, knowing it’s uncomfortable for her, and just ignoring it is cruel. Complaining that it’s annoying because the poor cat is loud is pure selfishness. She must know she’ll be hauled over the coals for this and is cementing in the “animal abuser” title even more.

Truly she is the most unpleasant cow in the BP.

Former vet student. It's true, spaying a cat in heat is more difficult because the uterine lining is thicker and swollen with blood, making the tissues and surrounding blood vessels more prone to tearing. It requires more skill to perform the spay correctly and successfully, hence why it costs more.

So I believe the original reason for giving the cat a Depo-Prevera shot was that Julia had to had her vaccinations and they wouldn’t perform a surgery on her till she was properly caught up.
Basically, it’s like giving her a birth control shot, but it needs time to get her past the heat aspect of her cycle. Chantal was suppose to set up her vaccine appointments and then her spay.
Of course she has traveled to and fro Canada and supposedly threw money away even on tickets but alas, hasn’t afforded time and money to get her beloved Joose just basic ass vaccines.

I believe her first visit swimming with the cats on her is what set Julia’s heat off to start.

Unless every entity in the universe turns against her and she’s left with no way to defend her image from being tarnished (in her mind). And even then, it’s a tall order for her to do something positive that doesn’t benefit herself.

Kidney failure is pretty common in cats. BBJ spoiled Chantal, once a cat gets to 7+ years you have to be vigilant for when it's your cat's time to go.

Several centuries ago, a young Botchy received a kitten for their fourth birthday.

I named the tiny thing 'Puff' after my favorite Little Golden Book story, Puff the Blue Kitten.
I heard the parental unit talking about getting Puff "fixed" and heard for the first time the word 'spade'.

Sometime later I asked Da when we were going to get Puff "spaded". (notice I did know how to correctly conjugate a verb, though I had understood the word wrongly ). He told me that the word was spay, not spade, and the conjugation was spayed. He then showed me the spelling, using the those multicolored, plastic magnetic letters that were on the refrigerator. Language acquisition is a magical thing in children. It is apparently a lesson I never forgot, though I hadn't remembered exactly how I learned the difference between spayed and spade, until you triggered this treasured memory of my Father and his patient and gentle lessons.

You are 100% right that it isn't about the cost, she's just selfish and awful, but for shits I looked into how much it costs to spay a female cat in Kuwait, Zoocare in Shuwaikh Industrial said it starts at 60 KWD. So, not even $300 CAD if I am doing my math right.

Nah she was just craving ice cream and outted herself so she can go up and seal with a cone.

I think is was the people that were walking around everywhere, she also said it's all men, that she never talks to anyone in Kuwait, especially men (but she likes the culture and vibe so much in Kuwait and after almost 2 years never even said a word to one of the neighbors), she got really scared and said a couple of times how embarrassed she would be if they came into the gym. The ice cream, even if she usually needs everything she craves right away, could have waited another hour just to keep Julia being in heat a secret. But with all the people there, she wanted to flee and had to come clean.

Makes you wonder how many other things she is hiding. Maybe it's not just that she is embarrassed, they probably did so much loophole stuff that she is paranoid that somebody could find out (when strangers and even neighbors wouldn't even know).

She also still can't math. She said the injection worked for a year. And that she was told it would last for 10 months, but it was a year. Then said she got it in October. It's August, that's 10 months, idiot. So she knew that she would go into heat soon and still made travel plans. Well done, Julia, for going in heat at exactly that moment.

She might get her spayed this time (within the next year) because it causes HER discomfort because she can't sleep, same with Salah, HE will probably want her either spayed or put back on the street. Let's hope it isn't the same pharmacist that mutilated Salah's little friend. How can you not have your cat spayed by a vet? Oh yeah, because she doesn't give a shit about the cat.
