This is too funny.
Chris' arrest occurred when I had Covid for the first time, was the first member of my family to get it and, as such, was confined to the bedroom for a week, because everyone was still terrified.
I spent my time with no work or family responsibilities, holed up on my own extremely productively. I prayed, I read and I watched the saga unfold, learned Chris' backstory and was introduced to Ralph while laughing so hard I thought my lungs were going to collapse.
Seeing it from the other POV is glorious.
When I was arrested, I felt a bit bad because I gave the cops a stern talking to from the back of the car. Asked them if arresting middle aged priest wives for offending people on the internet was what they joined for. I asked them what they would tell their loved ones when they got home that shift? "Yeah, I had to go and arrest a Catholic mum in the middle of cooking the family dinner because she might have misgendered a woman with a penis."
Seeing this alleviates my guilt. (I'm a polite Britbong who at heart feels a bit bad about being rude).
I should have gone full Chris on them. You feel that invisible punch in the face? That's St Nicholas who's hating your heresy.
