Havent finished it yet, but two hours of this dude talking about a topic he has been obsessed with for a while now cant be bad.

Actually that is a script, just a very early one. Pictograms are just representational, but the Aztec script is logographic and syllabic.

"comparative religious studies BS?" What the fuck are you even trying to say? The name is the same, but it is more likely that the Roman Cult is derived from multiple "oriental" sources and synthesized in the Hellenistic world as a result of syncretization between various solar cults, which would include Mithra himself, but itself not a genuine reflection of the Persian Cultus of Mithra who broadly speaking is a very exoteric God.

I have no idea how someone could come to such a conclusion, Zoroastrianism is very much still around and you can read their books, Mithra is a God of laws, order, obligations and oaths, not mysteries, esotericism and the like that the Hellenistic/Roman Cult was.
