Leaving in the amount of tips just makes him look even more ridiculous when he's crying poor the next day, or next week. We all know he won't fix his toilet, or shower, or dishwasher, or take a vacation. If Phil makes $400 a day but then basically throws it out the window and lives in poverty, it just makes him a bigger clown.

I’m not sure what the frequency of crossover in viewership is, but I’m a big fan of the show Redbar (a drama show that mostly focuses on comedians and other popular online creators) , and the host Mike brings up a point that I think illustrates really well why people dislike DSP and why his begging is so much worse than others. People dislike the notion that somebody is attempting to manipulate your reality, when it is very clearly a falsehood by design. The more smug or bold people are when they do it, the more it upsets observers.

I will say I am a bit surprised KC got Phil to the point where he now claims it doesn’t matter if he is just pulling Hogans all day. The problem with this is that he’s spent years saying you’re an insane person if you believe it, and that he’s legitimately struggling to get by. Obviously this is just a scam, and not a really crazy one by most metrics. But what it does is attempt to create a false reality of Phil’s design that you’re meant to exist in when you hear him speak on it. It doesn’t matter if it doesn’t personally effect your life, it’s annoying and insulting when people try to do this generally. And Phil does it with lots of things all the time.

Well, if this arc has proven anything, it's that DSP hasn't changed a single bit. For years he has tried to create this image of being "that positive, changed guy" who hates talking about drama and who has stopped trying to attract hate and being abrasive, but this King stuff has actually shown how extremely toxic and hateful he still is and has been all this time. And the best part: it's purely because he's receiving money for it in exchange.

In the longer term, I can see at least of part of his unironic long-time fans getting off this toxic ride, because they fell for the fake positivity these past years, and this current "felting" arc is what they're getting in return. Now his streams are him talking about drama and shitting on everyone and anything with a massively inflated ego at least 75% of the spends streaming.

He now kind of is a prisoner of a self-made prison, because what will happen if he drops the "felting" meme, and goes back to just being a bad-at-games hermit who says dumb things?

I already saw someone in chat complaining, who has been supporting DSP financially:

Can't verify if the 2nd example is a sock account or anything because I can't find the specific account on Youtube, but the FelixtheMaid account seems legit (account from 2015, filled with autistic anime content).

I do agree sometimes it gets almost unwatchable, but at the same time it's just so fascinating seeing someone so hight on his own farts and delusions. Apart from people who are legit schizophrenics it's hard to find someone being so out of reality like this live on stream.

He will also reverse course at the drop of a hat when anyone asks or claims that he is poor or struggling, even if he did so in the same stream, and insist that he is doing just fine.

Phil is financially successful, or not, based on a number of factors that are constantly changing. You cannot grasp the true form of Giygas’ attack.

I do think the King shit will push some people away for sure if he keeps it up. He has like what 3 whales if we include only iced tranny, 5-10 people who will occasionally donate more then 5 bucks and I guess that's it. Searching on Archive Chat Logs, if its the same person, Luthais has been a member on DSPGaming for months, and has been around since 2023, with some random 2021-2022 messages in there too. Loyal DSPReacts watcher too and LARPing on both is asking a lot. Considering the loyalty pledge soft demand he made last night, if you voice any dissent, get banned.

Phil is only entertaining ironically, like when he can't figure out how to set up a PC or coming up with new SF6 loss excuses (the old ones get tired after a while). But there's something really fascinating about how much somebody is willing to debase themselves just because they got some attention and some $$$.

It contradicts every holier than thou statement that fuck has said. Paid shills, doing it for the bag, sellouts, I care about gaming, etc. The last week or two has shown it all to be bullshit, not that most people with a brain didn't know, but he's making it super obvious now. Only thing left is to see how much the money buff can convince Phil Burnell to shed all the fake wholesome act he's put on for the past few years and go back to 2010 Phil.
