Here's the thing: they don't even have double standards. Everything they say is about trying to further their goal. This is why you see the "slippery slope" being talked about but never discussed. There are groups of people who will claim to be fighting for a cause, but the reality is they're using a group of people as a means to an end. For some of them, it's monetary. For others, it's ideological. Remember: the Vietnam Protests were not because it was an unjust invasion of a country that never attacked America. It was because the country was Communistic. It's the same thing with Palestine: the nation has deep-seated roots in Communism and the people in charge know this. They don't care about claims of genocide: this is just them wanting a heavily Communistic country to be allowed to spread Communism.

Irrespective of Thorium, there's enough proven Uranium deposits to supply the entire Earth's electricity needs for 5000 years. More than enough time to work out the next thing.

Uranium deposits

So we do have enough for more than my initial post (I think I said 50 years?) and we're expected to find more, but we don't have enough for a very long period of time.

I would still argue that nuclear is better and more efficient than current renewable technologies, but it's not a holy grail.

Yeah, my numbers are around 15 years old but one of my teachers (a geochemist) was saying a solid 200 years of uranium, minimum. That's without a bunch of current advancement, and most of canada and russia being unexplored
