This kind of shit in the field of "expert witnesses" is ridiculously common. Hire some ridiculous quack to spew a bunch of mumbo jumbo in the hopes of confusing the jury. The chiroquacktor testifying about "muh fibromyalgae." The guy who insists all breathalyzers or drug tests are wrong every single time, etc. Even proscutors constantly bring in absolute bullshit "experts."
I don't think it was Twain but someone said "there are liars, damn liars, and expert witnesses."
It is a bastardised Twain quote. The original was , 'There are liars, damn liars, and statistics.'
This is retarded because at trial it would be difficult/impossible to authenticate some random reupload. The state needs someone to testify that it's a true and accurate representation of the original or that it was recorded/stored by some regular procedure. You subpoena a copy from Google for the latter method.
I don't think they want to go to trial. They would put in the subpoena only when they need, I would think.
I'm lowkey kind of mad, 450k would barely get you a tiny 2-bedroom apartment in a shitty neighborhood where I live (Amsterdam). You Americans have got it so good when it comes to property prices. Nick is a piece of shit but I'm ngl, that is an amazing property in an incredible location that he's selling for pocket change. I know Nick lives in the middle of nowhere but he has to be underselling it's value. Even in the states this property has to be worth way more than 450k.
Anyway, I don't get why he's selling a chunk of his property unless money is tight. You don't live in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nature if you like the idea of having neighbors almost right on top of you. Do you guys think everything is good between Nick and Kayla? The timing seems pretty odd.
That city being Los Angeles.
No joke, my bet is still on Nick ending up in California with Dick Masterson at some point. How long that takes depends on the length of his any probation he might receive.
I know for a fact California has a pretty robust anti-SLAPP statute too (it's the state that birthed the term "Streisand Effect," and that case concerned California anti-SLAPP), which will be useful given the amount of shit he likes to talk. Nick once said he has to win his appeal against Monty because, if he doesn't, more people will sue him. I always took that to mean he is aware Minnesota ain't the best state for talking shit.
Why would you want the stress of selling your house just as you go into a court battle?
Unless both Nick and Kayla planning to enter a plea bargain and leave Spicer very soon. . . But probation often requires you to remain in the state...
Maybe the plea deals will be for unsupervised probation?
I guess the other possibly is that maybe Nick and Kayla aren't getting along? Like divorce is on the horizon?
Perhaps Nick is refusing to pay Kayla's legal bills, so she wants her half of the house money? This seems less likely. But we know they fight like cats and dogs.
It's definitely an interesting development, especially in the context of Nick's motion to suppress and Kayla's last minute lawyer
I think the most likely explanation is they want to leave town asap
Perhaps the parents want him to sell it to get him back on track financially?
Or perhaps Nick is selling it because the parents or trust will not be helping with his bills on it any longer?
As another possibility, maybe he wants to leave the state?
So much of that, as is the case again here, reads like it's more for public consumption than court consumption.
Nick has opined on the value of making your filings easily understandable to send PR messages during litigation when you are mostly gagged.
What if Nick's 2nd property going up for sale is just a formality for his parents to buy & move into it, with reference to his scheme of having them move in their so the hatchlings will be with his parents & nearby?
No, they could have just moved in, if so. No need to sell.
He also wasted 10 years in college getting two degrees, neither of which led to a career.
10 years? AFAIK, he had 5 for the bachelor and 2 for lawschool?
What appears to be a broken bottle of Boss Hog whiskey is mounted in the kitchen.
From 4 different angles:
Nick had a tale of someone gifting that to him, and him drooping it in Tampa and trying to drink and pour from the broken glass. It was immortalised in Kayla's painting gift to him.
It's really bad with some of the plumbing

That house is either alive and bleeding from the Sonichu curse; or there's a massive amount of iron / rust / decay in the pipes. Knock $100,000 off the asking price Racket, no way in hell would anyone touch that without getting the entire building replumbed.
The answer is YES. Having lived in illinois, the water there sucked. Had to use a fuck ton of water softener salt to make it tolerable. Minnesota is not that far away. And they also tap water from the great lakes im sure they have the same issues.
Nick has bitched about his iron content in the water and his hot tub filter being clogged in a few months and having to change it.
