Sure, it's used for that definition, but I'd wager that it only began to be used due to it's prevalence in the SCP wiki, in which it's used to define information material that is actually supernatural. The common use of infohazard only really started showing up in the last couple years, while it's been kicking around there for a decade. It's just lame and gay enough to be how it happened.

I understand the cringe factor of using infohazard/cognitohazard to refer to cursed information, but the majority of the vernacular on the internet is sourced from something that is either gay or retarded. My previous sentence has been peppered with Internet-derived abortions to illustrate my point. You will never escape from homosexual linguistics.

How the fuck do you manage to both hit the nail on the head about Chaz and I still feel like you are underselling it. His videos are like hearing someone's inner monologue about something they just watched or vaguely remember. Yes, monologue not analysis or any other fancy word other rambly depressed video essays use. You either indifferently roll with his videos or end up infuriated with how retarded he comes off as when talking about SML or some random piece of FNAF lore. The only reason he has an audience is because of making fun of the Odd1sout and Space Jam.

So I found this channel a while ago and I was going to eventually share it here. That time is now.
This guy used to go by Nightmare Fuel, a name so generic there was already someone with that name so he rebranded to NFuel. Before you ask, no, I'm not talking about this guy because he is some hidden gem or anything.

One of the channels that did the whole explaining weird videos shit before the trend of essays began was YouTube Explained (the dude did videos on salad fingers and Don't Hug Me I'm Scared), but that was like in 2014-2015 and IIRC the channel is pretty much abandoned nowadays.
