I think some would respond nicely if you asked them politely to have a DM back and forth about their problem because you wanna hear what their story is. Bite your tongue. Don't condescend to them, just let them tell you. See if you can improve their lives in small ways.

I met people who walked in such awful circles that they just did not have that. All they needed was a stranger to hear them out and try to understand and help make their lives suck less.

And the legit psycho brain-damaged ones... dunno if it's too late for them or not but they probably require more IRLish support.

I'd be curious to see if that yields any results, i've heard some try this but typically the results end up with the person either not being willing to/gives up on trying quit or the in-groups they are a part of exert too much influence(since they're probably what got them into it in the first place) that they side with them in the end.

Why not just hate pedophiles for being pedophiles instead of worrying about their political or religious views, or even lack thereof? They harm children all the same, be it a priest or a troon committing the crime.

Because either they don't hate them and this is just about trying to strangle those they hate with their own morals, or they feel obligated to defend their own.

I had a feeling that you were thinking about it in that kind of way! To be fair, it is probably one of the most practical ways that an individual has access to these days and it's a methodology that can be attempted against all kinds of forms of degeneracy, not just zoosadism. Scorn worked as a social deterrent and with the people that aren't indoctrinated it still often does, but this entire subforum is a pretty clear display of how no matter how much you mock them and show evidence that contradicts their narratives, there's always quite a few who will simply disregard all of it and retreat further into degenerate internet communities that encourage them further while denouncing all critics. Naturally I don't need to say why murder is impractical and in many cases infeasible. So if someone was completely serious about opposing what these people do and the spread of their degeneracy they would end up having to take a path like that.

It really doesn't help that the "official consensus" (TRUST. THE. SCIENCE) regarding fetishism is far too obviously and overtly pro-degenerate. This leads to the propagation of ideas such as fetishism being basically incurable and that all therapy should be aimed towards helping the person accept their fetish and embrace the degeneracy that infests them. Fuck all that.

Well, it does require a lot of self-responsibility that ends up being a hard sell to expect most furry gooners to suddenly be able to take though, but ideally a fetishist would be able to reduce the influence of their detested fetishes while promoting healthier sexual interests to take over its niche, this may include stuff that is still weird, but more healthier/vanilla. It's just that it's not something that someone else can do for them because only they have the capacity to truly understand their own sexuality by the end of the day and with the company and subculture that these people find themselves in, are they really going to live up to that responsibility? Answer is: Usually not, they're pretty damn groomed.
