I guess Channel Awesome just keeps winning.Yeah, it’s definitely them just having a laugh that he randomly ended up on some birthday decorations for a movie he reviewed once.

That was a pretty solid skit at the beginning there.
The Black Short Round joke was also really funny. That was a pretty solid skit at the beginning there.
Replacing the word “Nazi” with “YouTube” to avoid demonization is also hilarious.
so someone showed me the superchat stats for Lewis vs Doug.
Very interesting stats come up!
So in first glance it looks like Lewis is better overall in streaming

vs Doug

Except Doug rarely streams. while Lewis streams often. Doug averages $860 a stream in superchats, Lewis $363.
Also Lewis averages 14k views a vid overall(which was lower than I thought!) while Doug averages 90k views.
Both have downward trajectories in their views, but Doug's falling from a height, Lewis is falling from a stepstool
I miss when doug drew some of the shit he used his videos. He's not like a super professional photo-realistic art kind of guy but it's always kinda had a neat look about it.
Ah, demented Odie.
I don’t think that he’s ever claimed to be a film buff, but you’d think the guy would at least understand how characters get created and if they’re references to something. In his video on the South Park movie Doug identifies the character of Gregory as a reference to the character Nigel in the movie Top Secret!
In reality both characters are pretty obviously references to Victor Lazlo from Casablanca.
Nothing more to add, just further evidence that Doug knows fuck all about cinema.
My point was more Casablanca is one of those movies like Citizen Kane, it feels like required watching if you're going to be doing anything with film. Especially for analysis and critique because its so often referenced.I don’t think that he’s ever claimed to be a film buff, but you’d think the guy would at least understand how characters get created and if they’re references to something.
He did mention watching Casablanca during his BarbWire review, but I think with time he just forgot about it.My point was more Casablanca is one of those movies like Citizen Kane, it feels like required watching if you're going to be doing anything with film. What this tells me is that he either has never seen Casablanca or he didn't really watch it and retain it.
Yeah, and also made a joke about it in the Foodfight review. He probably just didn't notice both Nigel and Gregory were Casablanca references. He did mention watching Casablanca during his BarbWire review, but I think with time he just forgot about it.
NC not getting why people like a movie for the 1000's time.
