Except Doug rarely streams. while Lewis streams often. Doug averages $860 a stream in superchats, Lewis $363.

Also Lewis averages 14k views a vid overall(which was lower than I thought!) while Doug averages 90k views.

Both have downward trajectories in their views, but Doug's falling from a height, Lewis is falling from a stepstool

In reality both characters are pretty obviously references to Victor Lazlo from Casablanca.

I don’t think that he’s ever claimed to be a film buff, but you’d think the guy would at least understand how characters get created and if they’re references to something.

My point was more Casablanca is one of those movies like Citizen Kane, it feels like required watching if you're going to be doing anything with film. Especially for analysis and critique because its so often referenced.

What this tells me is that he either has never seen Casablanca or he didn't really watch it and retain it.
