Yes and no. Most of the woke corporations everyone disliked seemed to be doing just fine from 2016-2020, mainly because they were riding a hot economy with seemingly limitless consumer spending power. It seemed like they were going to face no real consequences for alienating a significant portion of their fanbase.
The past 4 years, however, have seen a much bumpier economy and layoffs have been hitting almost all parts of the industry, particularly woke corporations. Sure, it's the sinking tide which lowers all ships but when you're feeling the squeeze like this you really start to regret pissing off potential consumers of your product. The Saints Row studio? gone. Arkane Austin? Shut down. Bungie? Layoffs everywhere. Look at how subdued pride month 2024 was. It's the silver lining of a poor economy that corporate america starts to understand that sacrificing consumer goodwill for culture war points is not a great idea. This isn't like when people were making such outrageously inflammatory statements that they had to resign to save face, only to be quietly rehired elsewhere. The people behind the fuck ups are having a much harder time getting support and jobs now because there's less money to go around.
All you can really do, and all you really have to do, is divest and be patient.
